My trusty 2.2 tourer might have a big problem..
I let the service slip due to being overwhelmed recently by life demands..
today, while driving, I heard a hiss like an air brake, the engine suddenly sounded rough and rattling, oil light came on. Plenty of oil in the engine.. smelled like burning and smoke from oil filler cap hole..
Any one with experience with this? It happened close to home so drove it back, the noise got worse and starting was difficult.
