    Was this a good buy?

A great buy - those Estates have more space than my 2015 CRV. These 7th gens are fab cars and great to drive Change the oil every 6k miles and they run forever Keep on top of all other fluids too especially the gearbox fluid I still have my 2006 ICTDI Accord and its at 320k miles with...

Leaky Injector Seal - 2006 Honda Accord ICTDI (N22a1 Engine)

Hi Guys Havent posted on here in quite a while as life is so busy with a new born and the Accord has been running fine until now. I have just noticed a slight issue on the home commute on friday, one of the injectors is slightly leaking. (hissing) I popped of the engine cover and grabbed a...

    2.2 i-CTDi oil

The Mannol oil is a c2/c3 rated oil so pretty sure it exceeds the requirements of a a5/b5 spec as it is meant for diesel cars with a DPF. Any 0w 30 oil is fine for the ICTDI engine, the 0w 30 is the important bit of the oil. Change it regularly and the ICTDI engine will chug on forever - Dont...

    2.2 i-CTDi oil

I use to get the 20 litre drum from lube tech, but I have stopped buying it due to the lack of space to store a drum now. I just buy Mannol 0w 30 oil from carousel Parts on ebay. Ebay always does 20% off vouchers so it works around quite cheap for 6 liters delivered. I changed the oil 3 times a...

    Highest Mileage

Hiya "justlurking" Yep I still have it and its still going. I recently acquired my brothers old 2002 Honda Jazz, that car will be used as my ULEZ car so the Accord can stay for now as my work commute doesn't involve any ULEZ roads :) Its now at 282,802 miles - still going strong. I just did...

    Clutch

My clutch started slipping in 2016 at 134k miles Its now 2023 and the car is now at 280k and still going fine. I just dont drive the car hard. However, if the clutch pedal starts to vibrate when accelerating away, then the DMF is on its way out. i would then look at the clutch replacement...

    Welcome dude

    Suspension control arms

Very true, up until the end of the pandemic Honda massively increased their prices. I used to always go genuine parts for the Accord but As she is getting on abit now I cant justify the spend on parts. If the patterned parts lasted another 3 to 4 years and even replacing it again it would still...

    Suspension control arms

I just did my front upper control arms on my 2006 2.2 ictdi Accord last year before Christmas. The originals lasted an epic 270k miles before the ball joint had lots of play in it. I replaced it with Meyle, Honda genuine parts were just too expensive. I also did the Drop links around 5 years...
