Ah, makes sense. The accords primarily suffered from inboard cv joint wear. The grooves in which the main shaft slides back and forth on its roller bearings get worn where the bearings sit the most under torque. Then it causes vibration down the shaft.

2.2 tourer x 2.. one has 120k on it and the other 230k miles. Both fault free

Mine sounds identical and its done 230k miles. Same whirring after ignition off, and its got no issues at all being used daily for both short and long journeys. Thank you I did something very similar. I cleaned it with contact cleaner and then put it in the oven at forty degrees c, for 1hour and then filled the plastic module housing with dielectric gel, and put the circuit board back into the housing ensuring it was encapsulated. No issues at all...

Absolute diamond. Very helpful to have these part references. Will get some ordered. I rebuilt my clutch master cylinder, so will get a slave just to keep everything worry free. Ps the top nut I stuck grease on the end of my middle finger and put the nut on that then carefully offered it up...

Are you in the UK? Also how was the slave cylinder order. Was it received ok and what was the total cost
