I was thinking maybe drop the starter motor and give the mechanism a clean and greasing, are they simple to get out?

It's a 2003 2.0 Accord (auto). The noise is very brief lasting no longer than a second, it happens as soon as the engine fires just after I've let go of the key, actually the noise is as you'd expect if turning starter on an already running engine.

Hi Forum On cold starts I'm getting a grinding sound as soon as my engine fires up, I'm guessing it's my starter motor on the way out, any ideas fellas? cheers
