What gave you the idea the sound was magnified 100x? I had a non resonated system fitted to an Octavia, which on a petrol would of been OTT. However on a diesel it barely made a difference (something I found from research, I wouldn't of had one if not.). From what I read you really need a...

If it helps in anyway I put a performance petrol exhaust system on my diesel Octavia Vrs. There was little sound change at all, little more soot :P

The ebay ad has petrol only mentioned. Why would this not work with diesel?

Sorry yes the accord tourer. I have a 2004 tourer but I was offered some roof rails off a 2006 tourer. Its just I read the face lift rails don't fit the pre face lift so wanted to check what year was definitely face lift.

Ok thank you. I was interested in fitting some roof rails, but the owner didn't know if it was a face lift model or not. I read on here that the facelift roof rails don't fit the preface lift roofs.
