    8th Gen parasitic battery drain

I have just realised that the replacement battery I got for the car is of lower capacity, 52ah vs 72ah Also, the new batter Cold Crank Amperage is 500 vs 720 of the OEM batter. Could this be enough to cause an issue?

    8th Gen parasitic battery drain

I have had the HFT module disconnected and the issue persists so thats not the issue. I was doing an initial test to see what the amp draw was when the car was asleep. If it was a bad parasitic draw it would show up there. With all doors closed, I placed the multimeter in series between the...

    8th Gen parasitic battery drain

Hi, So my Type S has developed another issue, this time its a battery drain. Bsaically the battery is being emptied if I leave it for a few days without usage, or across 7 or 8 days with light driving (maybe 15-20 miles per day) Not much aux draw on the battery when driving as it is summer (I...

Reverse and 1st gear clutch shudder

Yeh I noticed the engine tone as well. LIke a high pitched whistle when the turbo cuts in. Been there since I have owned the car. Looks like something I just have to put up with, and hope a potential buyer doesn't mind lol

    Engine mount fault?

Old topic, but heh lol My 2009 Type S has the same horrible judder in reverse, and some judder in 1st Is this just a problem with the 8th gen? I mean its pretty bad when u dont lay on enough revs in reverse. Im trying to sell my accord, and this is one major sticking point...

Reverse and 1st gear clutch shudder

This has been a long time "issue" for me, but as I am about to sell the car, I need to know more about it. I have owned my Accord Type S 2.2 idtec (2009) for nearly 4 years, and it has always had this horrible shudder in reverse and 1st gear. It is somewhat intermittent in 1st gear, showing no...

    Rear brakes uneven wear

Replaced the calliper and flex line and the excessive brake wear went away

    Front brake shudder

Swapping wheels is a good call. I've had the front wheels off and discs and pads changed. No noticeable uneven wear. I think it may be that one piston has more friction than the other, as that has been identified as a possible cause of the shuddering before.

    Front brake shudder

Hi Guys, I've posted on this forum about rear brake issues, seemingly around a sticky caliper piston. I'm now experiencing front brake shudder (my honda seems to have a sense of humour around brakes lol). I have a 2009 Accord Type S. The front calipers are dual piston. I have recently (~6-9...

    Rear brakes uneven wear

So..... Back in November i posted about this issue. At the time I didn't have the cash to change the caliper (for the type s, I found they are nearly 200 quid!!) Back then I just replaced the pads on the affected caliper and drove on. Its now May, and the inside pad has burnt off again...

    Rear brakes uneven wear

I have a Type S Saloon with rear caliper and handbrake separate.

    Rear brakes uneven wear

I buffed off the paint coat on the lugs of the pads to give better movement. But I think with head expansion when being used they may still bind. Might need to grind it down more One other question i wanted to throw out there. If i have the caliper attached to its bracket, and it has loads...
