I think I’ve fixed the battery drain issue by removing the HFL unit. I wonder if the alarm issue might have been a low battery problem?

Thanks for the reply. Our is a saloon though. My mechanic suggested removing the light in the boot as an experiment, but that hasn’t helped. I’ve read that unlocking and relocking with the key in the door should reset the alarm, but it doesn’t.

Hi all, We have a 2006 mk7 exec. The alarm system occasionally goes off for no reason. I have not found any way to stop it apart from disconnecting the battery. A quieter alarm keeps going when I do this. Eventually it resets. if anyone knows why that might be happening, I’d be glad to hear...

My mistake - our car is the sedan (I was confused about the terms). Both are EU models, if that’s what the EU in EUDM stands for, as opposed to USDM (if that refers to US models)

So my wife was driving out of the driveway, hit a post and tore off the front bumper . The best condition one I can find on eBay is from a 2003 estate Type S. same colour (I think). I even prefer the black grille to the chrome one we have. Question is, will this fit on our 2006 ex-l model...
