    Hot seats

Isn't that all down to whether if the windscreen is heat reflective? Any black seat is going to absorb heat, and if the screen is heat reflective it's going to fare better. I don't think our 8th gen has that. Only cars that I can think of that has are Renault's.

    2.4 MPG

Hi there, I have had both the 2.0 and currently own the 2.4, both manual. First to answer your questions: city - about 25 50/50 - 30 motorway - 40+ I am actually thoroughly impressed by this, the 2.4 is a beast and when pushed, its a real power house. Mid range pull (3-4k) can allow you to...

    cree led sidelights

I went for cree only for the rear side and brake lights (7443) and the 3rd brake light (7440), as these really do require to be as bright as possible. As for the front side light, I went for a set of warm white 10led which are not cree (uses 2w of power), and they more than suffice for the job...

    2.4 buying tip.

Thanks P3T3, Yeah they are optional extras, along with the skirts. The car is going back for some more work next week because the near side rear passenger door light wouldn't switch off and drained the battery! Had to use Honda happiness on Sunday for a home start, which was very efficient...

    2.4 buying tip.

The car drives very well, as mentioned before these engines pulls strongly and smoothly. In gear acceleration is very good and off the line is rapid, running on 18" rims makes the car feel planted and has good feel. Compared to what i can remember of my old 2.0 EX, this 2.4 is MUCH more usable...

    2.4 buying tip.

Well after much deliberation and negotiations, I have myself a 58reg 2.4 EX and I am very happy with it so far. There are still some outstanding work on it which the dealer hadnt completed, he promises me that they will pick the car up and fix it some time soon. I have to give credit to the...

Can anyone here comment on the picture below? It shows a crack running along the cv axle, is this something nasty and needs fixing?

    2.4 buying tip.

The first thing I checked was the sun roof and that all the gears were sound when I gave it some boot, that's all fine.

    2.4 buying tip.

Right... After waiting for a good tourer in petrol and EX trim for a while without much success, I thought I would give the saloon another try. So I found a 2.4 saloon in the right price bracket and went to view it, loaded it with the baby prams and add on, and the boot is actually big enough...

    2.4 buying tip.

I feel very strongly about NOT buying a diesel, the whole DPF and EGR failures of diesel is a big put off for me. I have personally been through these problems with a Toyota T180 2.2 diesel and I have vowed to never buy another diesel until they change the fundamental design of modern diesel...

    2.4 buying tip.

Thank you all so far and I am also dubious about the fitting in of the golf bags!!! Richsprint - Thanks for the information and confidence, and you have found the exact car that I am considering. I am well aware of the boot size (406 litres) which is not big by any means never mind for an...

    2.4 buying tip.

Hi all, I have been away from these forums for a while after having gone back to Toyota for the past 2 years, but now I am on the market again since becoming a dad since last October and needing something with a mega boot (i.e estate). I had a really good experience with my gen 8 EX and I have...

    Well that was quick...

There are a multitudes of read outs and instead of a rev counter, you get a charge/Electr Engine/Petrol Engine/Power zone meter that tells you where you are in the range of options for driving the car. Its rather clever. There is an instant MPG and average MPG, the 62 MPG was the average of...
