if you put the car in reverse and put your ear up to the parking sensors you might be able to hear a click/noise. Find the one that doesn't click and replace it :)
I'm also looking at a 2.4 type s but sacrificing,
-a sunroof
-auto dim rear view mirror
-auto lights
-auto wipers
-electric seats (not sure if type s comes with heated seats as well)
-potentially the premium sound system which sounds really good
all for a body kit seems like a bad trade-off to...
Thing is this has been happening for quite a while now. Sometimes it'll act normal for like 3 weeks or even a couple of months and then start to act up. Surely if it was the battery this would be a constant issue not a periodic one.

While this thread has revived. Is your car alarm supposed to go off after locking it and opening the door from the inside? I can't seem to set my alarm off intentionally.
Unplug the third brake light plug and see if it matches the spoilers connector. If it doesn't you might have to splice into one of the brake light lines. That's what I've done with mine.
No idea what the noises are but that slot isn't for the Navi disc. That slot is for music discs. Below the cd changer there's a compartment which you can open and that's where the nav disc is supposed to go
