I-CDTI Engine cuts out when accelareting

No flashy lights just a lack of go. Does the engine have an overboost as that would give the same effect. Is there a way of interrogating the brain on the fly as i am in a place where i can't figure out what is wrong with the car so i am forced to go to a garage who i wouldn't trust as far as...

    EGR blanking

Now while i appreciate you have one down the route of chips i prefer beans. Make a blanking plate from the end of a baked bean can If you do this does the ECU get its knickers in a twist as the EGR can still move just it don't do anything

    EGR blanking

The wonderful exhaust gas recirculation valve brought to us by legislation. A nasty device that takes exhaust gas a dumps it into the engine intake which is a really dumb idea. On my landrover 300Tdi it was binned many years ago and i have it blanked and it improved many things and my intake...

I-CDTI Engine cuts out when accelareting

The hesitation is almost as if it is running out of fuel. You can be doing 55 and floor it and it happily romps up to 75 and won't go any quicker if you keep you foot flat on the floor. But lift off and cruise at 75 for a minute or two and floor it again and it will accelerate happily beyond...

    Raising ride hieght

Park the Accord on a snowplough route and the other half can drive to it in the landrover. If the landrover gets stuck then i come and get her in the mog if the mog gets stuck then we are proper ducked

4X4 count now at 4 tour of a modifed unimog 404 I bought a MOG A unimog 404s 1975 vintage Pics? Okay here it is with one wheel on the trailer and it still has loads of flex left. This is the rather simple but hugely effective suspension system. The big tube down the middle isn't a...

I-CDTI Engine cuts out when accelareting

Okay a quick reboot for this thread. Wifeies car is playing up. It is a 2004 vintage diesel accord It had occasional hesitation under accleration and the occasional hissy fit when you started it like it was only firing on 2 pots A HONDA dealer did a full service on the car about 6 months ago...

    Raising ride hieght

Current fleet is Her Honda which has winter tyres but lack of ground clearance means it can't get through the drifts we get on our road. My ford focus on snow tyres which can get through snow drifts a bit better due to a total lack of giving a duck about the plastic bits. A landrover 90 on...

    What Wheels?

Keep it on 16"s as they are the best better ride, better economy, less tramilining and easier to balance

Not trading in for a 4x4 I had three at last count including the lawnmower, two of which are road legal including the lawnmower

    Raising ride hieght

Well then i would need to buy a volvo I already have an accord sat outside The amount of money it would cost to change cars it is probably easier to change the suspension. Less hassle as well as you can hit suspension parts with hammers, you can't hit salesmen with hammers.

How much did the coilovers cost? Also does anyone do a conversion kit where you attach a threaded tube to the damper body?

225/45/17 to something with more rubber?
