There are only 3 options 1. Faulty master cylinder 2. Faulty slave cylinder 3. Air in the system If you ask me i would point the finger on the master cylinder behind the pedal

If you are not loosing fluid you can still get air in the system trough the clutch cylinder connected to the pedal. This is a common fault on WV cars

On this alternators is common that diode plate die. This happened to me also. As you can see on the photo the diode is burned. After rebuilt it should look like in the second photo. In the third photo you can see what parts you need for the rebuilt. I did not take a photo of the bearings [emoji53]
