Isn't oil pressure determined by the deliberate restrictions in the oil channels? If so it would be interesting to see how an oil filter would boost it further!

Not sure if you can disable, I don't have the ultrasonics in the saloon. Maybe you need to look a bit more at the door switch - did you notice if it was acting up prior to the alarm issues? Electrical issues are a nightmare to troubleshoot without the knowledge so maybe start at the most...

I think I vaguely remember the K&N oil filter when I was considering buying their panel filter. I just decided to stick with OEM for everything as there seemed too much opinion over fact on what was best, better the devil you know in my case ;) (not that I researched it in any great depth)

Have you got ultrasonic sensors in the cabin in yours? Mine only has boot/door sensors, I've not had any issues with me but it might help pinpoint an issue.
