If you just slide the box to the side theres plenty of room to change the clutch, saves removing the subframe.

You don't need to remove the subframe, you can slide the box back enought to get access to the clutch.

I removed the barrel and took it to a locksmith just before christmas, he replaced the tumblers and something else for £30, its fine now. He said I was lucky I could still turn it, else i'd of had to chop the steering lock off.

Its a w reg, year 2000.
