Accord 7th Gen brakes update: All OEM solutions

you most definitely do need the carriers for the 20mm increase in disc diameter, the stock carrier for 300mm discs will not clear it.

    Think this'll fit?

it'll fit, it also has the 4 bottom tabs for push pins despite not being pictured. I bought the type s pattern from the same seller a year ago it is abs though, feels cheap but looks ok

STUCK BOLT - replacing front lower control arms.

I had the same problem with mine, heat, self locking grips and an impact gun pulsing on max was enough to knock it loose from the sleeve. how much heat have you used? autogen/oxyacetylene causes more rapid heat expansion than propane so that helped me immensely

    Replacing front lower arms

if I may ask, how did you actually press it in? I think I swore once with every raise of my hammer, so if there's a secret way then it'd be cool to be in the know

    Replacing front lower arms

lucky for you, it was not as stubborn as mine :) various sockets to press the ball joint out with, and one large enough to receive it on the other end. I had to cut into the socket I used on the bearing side to make it fit over a raise in the casting kinda like this, which included in the...

    Replacing front lower arms

did you unstake the nut? not that it should matter a whole lot have you tried leaving the wheel on and not jacking the car up? if you pop the wheel center cap off and hammer on the breaker bar joint while pushing it would kinda sorta simulate an impact gun

    Replacing front lower arms

the lower arms themselves, yes. but you cannot push the ball joint up and out with the axle still in place because of the axle itself and the lock ring on the back of the hub how are you planning to get the ball joint out? more importantly, how are you getting the new one in? because when I did...

    Hub Nut Size

it's a 36mm on my tourer but I've seen kits for petrols offered with a 32mm for some reason

    Front Windscreen Wiper Motor

if it still turns, it's worth checking if the knuckles have popped out, though you might need new sockets you may also find that the wiper arms are rusted to the studs. an universal puller would help if you can't rubber mallet it off. either way, you'll see that it's not much more involved than...

    Power steering cooler pipe. Opinions

but in a practical sense, does it matter? the ac condenser already covers the radiator, and factory fmics on turbocharged vehicles are often stacked in front of that, making the radiator the last in line

    Turbo Priming

run the starter without starting the engine a couple times, the dash might flash with "SYSTEM CHECK" but just ignore it I didn't bother with anything else and everything's been a-okay

    Honda accord

I've been down this road before, and the short version is; if you have to ask, the answer is no. the long version is incredibly long and you reach the point of diminishing returns on your investment as soon as you've got your foot in the door sure the f18/20 are kinda sorta low compression-ish...

    Clutch Help

sorry, missed that post! no, the clutch fork should indeed be under tension from the pressure plate which is a little bit alarming

    Clutch Help

I've never seen a new master cylinder without blanking plugs but they've generally got a lip or tab to pry them out with, and they've also been eye catchingly red, green or yellow

    Accelerator response

maybe you're not punching it hard enough? comparing it to a VAG's response I've always found the throttle of VAG units to be nonlinear(especially audi, no offense F6HAD :D), the first 10 degrees lets you use 70% of the powerband and then the latter 20 degrees gives you the 30% you have left...

    KB1 Honda Legend 3.5 V6

the general consensus on imageboards I frequent with predominantly american users where the vcm v6-es are more common, is to stay away due to excessive oil usage, fouled spark plugs and misfires. there was even a lawsuit. I'm sure there was something else but I cannot remember exactly what...

Knocking when starting and stopping engine

any chance it could be loose exhaust bits not dampened properly knocking into the subframe, underbody or reinforcements? the subframe is unlikely since the flex pipe is below the cat but who knows just done an exhaust job on an old hilux pickup, and I noticed the pipes knocking into the frame in...

    KB1 Honda Legend 3.5 V6

the legend/vigor/inspire did do away with its sportier roots with the 3rd/4th gen, and it's become bit of a landbarge compared to the japanese accords we're used to. it's sort of gone the way of lexus, but that doesn't mean you won't love it
