    Good Alternator Recon/Refurb Sellers

Thanks Tanna. To be honest, the alternator that I changed it with is already a genuine Honda oem one (cost me a fortune as the time) my thinking was it would put the issue to bed forever. Everything was updated at the same time. It still failed anyways. lol Although it did have a long run, I...

    Good Alternator Recon/Refurb Sellers

Cheers John, Already have the short belt and new alternator back in 2014 and its gone again. Albeit I have done 100k miles. Most likely the pulley but could be internal bearings again. Likely easier to get a new recon alternator than gambling on changing the pulley, as I would need to get the...

    Alternator Clicking Noise - Again!

Managed to remove the belt using the crow bar method. The tensioner is really tough to move. haha. Just about got it back on. haha. It seems that the idler tensioner pulley has abit of play in it and has a quite worn bearing but really the cause of the clicking. The power steering pulley feels...

    Safety recall

Got my letter last week for the Accord. Rang up the dealer and they can't seem to fit me in unless it is on the weekday as they are super busy. Pretty disappointing as they should be taking these recalls pretty seriously. Havent got any holidays left so may have to book it in in the new year.

    Alternator Clicking Noise - Again!

Yeah I thought so too, unless it is something else. The clicky type sound is pretty much the same when the alternator was going way back in 2014. It disappears during the week and seems all ok but when the car is not sued over the weekend, Monday morning you can hear it slightly and then it...

Engine went into limp home mode and won't start

Sorry to hear. That is definitely premature for the chain to snap at that mileage. It could be the oil wasn't changed as regularly from previous owners. What car you looking to get next?

Accord High Pressure Power Steering Hose

Just an update on the thread. I decided to go genuine in the end. I know - Crazy me. Purely for the fact that I do 30k miles a year and having a genuine hose in there gave peace of mind that the original lasted 13 years and 210k miles. The swap over was pretty simple, my mechanic guy managed...
