    Call Holdcroft Honda. They'll definitely be able to source you the correct part at a great price. You'll have to give them the reg of the car and engine code to ensure you get the correct part. Also it's recommended to replace both at the same time.

    I think the exhaust can be changed over from the ATR to F series Hondas. I can't remember who but I'm sure someone put an ATR exhaust (from the cat back) onto theirs.

    The VC don't need doing, but after a cam belt change it's always a good idea to check them as the cover will be off. Especially as you said that that belt was overdue, they probably won't ever have been checked. TonyB is pretty much spot on with his reply. I get my VCs checked every year...

    Think you've pretty much hit it on the head dude. Very few articles actually explain the difference that a decat will make to say an engine between 1.4 and 2.0 litres that is normally aspirated. It all seems to be focused on higher power cars that have had the timing etc tweaked.

    So it's not about back pressure but gas velocity and the flow. Fair enough, but by removing the cat you're changing the gas removal velocity. I now consider myself wrong to a certain degree, and will wait for a dyno chart of before and after fitting till I make up my mind for definate...

    Steve from my understanding that's pretty much spot on for a N/A engine mate. Really hope one of you guys puts a dyno graph of before and after decat. Even if you don't see any power gains though, you'll defiantly feel a freer revving engine.
