Help! Nasty vibration through steering at 60mph

When you say outer shaft, do you mean the main drivers side shaft which connects to the intermediate shaft? Do you reckon the splines will be worn? Both my left and right shafts were replaced about 7k miles ago as one of them snapped. Really dont want to have to change them again, quite pricey...

    Knocking from Rear of Tourer

Had the same issue on my saloon. It didnt seem like it but the D bushes on the ARB solved the issues. And yes, be careful getting the bolts out. I snapped one of mine and had to take it to a garage to remove the remains of the broken one.

Help! Nasty vibration through steering at 60mph

Good shout. I managed to upload the above part diagram and images by snipping them on my laptop screen, these other pictures are on my phone. Another workaround could be to access google photos on my laptop and just snip the images. Just more hassle than using the mobile when away from laptop

Help! Nasty vibration through steering at 60mph

Hey guys, Finally manged to get some time today and research this further. Looking at the parts diagram for Honda I found the part number to be 44500SDAA00. When I'm searching for this part, the parts currently available on eBay are missing what looks like a bracket - which I've circled in the...

    Flexipipe leaking slightly

@shadow2kn From personal experience i wouldnt bother. I just drove mine and enjoyed the noise it made until the mrs couldnt hack it anymore. Previously i tried a patch up but just wasnt successful as its in the flexi and it moves quite a bit. Get yourself a new one, i think this is the one, i...

    CL7 drive belt

@dandreye I think it may be worth getting the pulleys and alternator checked by a mechanic. From looking at the video the alternator looks like its still the original? Mine was similiar looking and despite the belt replacement the alternator one day started to make a loud noticeable humming...

Thanks @F6HAD Any ideas roughly how many hours labour a indy garage would charge for the work and also approx part price for the intermediate shaft? Ive got it booked with him again 1st thing Monday as busy over the next few days with family. The funny thing is, i had it in the same garage a...

Help! Nasty vibration through steering at 60mph

Thats me just taken the car to another tyre place and got them to balance all 4 wheels. Each wheel needed 25-50 grams of weight, apparently 5grams or more out on a wheel and it would cause noticeable issues. Back on the road up to 60 mph and its still there. Although, i did notice the passenger...

Help! Nasty vibration through steering at 60mph

The mechanic has said its definitely wheel balancing. Nothing else is showing issues and they've had it on the motorway as well, starts at 63mph, stops by 70mph. Strange as i had it balanced yesterday

Hi mate, I just replied to the other thread i created a while back which you messaged me on. Not sure how to link this to that thread 7pk1689/38920rba013 is the correct belt/honda part number. I dont think 2mm difference in drive belt length will be an issue. As long as the pointer is in...

Aux Drive Belt length - Petrol 2.0

@dandreye Sorry for the delay, its been a busy month. It worked ok for a while but i did have an issue with a constant whine/groan appearing at all times when the car was started and idle. Turned out the alternator had to be reconditioned and the mechanic replaced a pulley and the belt at the...
