    Replacing Clutch

If the clutch isn't slipping, maybe the hard gear changes are something else, like a worn slave cylinder possibly. But personally I think comparing the cost of the job with the sale value of the car is the wrong way of looking at it. The better way IMO is comparing the cost of the job with the...

Rust - like this - how bad and does it pass MOT?

I agree with antdad, leave well alone, or it will come back a lot worse if you mess with it.

Need an opinion - grey foil

Really good look, but the match isn't 100%, the red doesn't quite go with the grey.

Do 7th Gens Suffer From Rust?

I'm a Honda nut but I agree with Fahad, Honda rust protection is lousy. In Japan salt is banned on their roads and they use a more expensive non-corrosive alternative so it isn't an issue for them. I've tried Hammerite but it doesn't give great results over already rusted areas. The most...

Did I kill the engine with the wrong oil?

Compare those viscosities with 0W 20 - see what I mean about the relative differences https://msdspds.castrol.com/bpglis/FusionPDS.nsf/Files/2EF19E5196478A658025825E00571329/$File/BPXE-AVASEX.pdf

Did I kill the engine with the wrong oil?

It's supposed to get 0W 30. 5W 20 and 0W 20 is for petrol engines. Having said that there isn't a huge difference between the oil you used and 0W 30 if you compare viscosities https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51rCZIoBLSS.pdf...

    Back door won’t open

If you have a look for a YouTube video about taking the door card off you might be able to fix it yourself - it might just be a cable or rod that's become unhooked from the back of the handle and needs putting back on.

Seems like a good time to sell

It's the pandemic, many people don't fancy using public transport at the moment, so demand for low cost cars has gone through the roof.

The radio etc was ok when I did mine. Just needed to reset the drivers power window by winding it all the way down and back up keeping the finger on the switch.

STUCK BOLT - replacing front lower control arms.

Unfortunately Holdcroft's online site says not currently shipping by post so my mistake. Lings Honda say business as usual and Cox Honda say they ship essential stock but orders from Honda UK take longer. My car was offroad for a week doing this job after the local the fastfit place I asked to...

STUCK BOLT - replacing front lower control arms.

If that doesn't work then as you say it's probably a matter of raising the arm enough to get a reciprocating saw blade in underneath it and cutting through the bolt if you can't get a hacksaw in. You've been unlucky, I remember Adam from Holdcroft Honda describing this happening sometimes and...

STUCK BOLT - replacing front lower control arms.

If you've got the other two arm bolts off can you get enough movement/angle in the arm to take some pressure off where the bolt is binding in the bush sleeve?
