Stage 2 remap and EGR blanking from Premier Tuning

Thanks to Fahad for travelling South and remaping my tourer, fast and efficient service it pulls like a train especially mid-range. He's also far too good looking to be getting his hands dirty, so said my soon to be ex-wife. ;) All the best.

    Another tailgate issue.

I haven't had a chance to investigate further but I'm sure I've tried to close the latch on something I shouldn't have recently so could well be.

Rear tailgate issue .. need wiring diagram please

That didn't come out right, what I meant to say was how do you know the water ingress and the tailgate fault are related? I've had to look at the wiring diagram for my tailgate too and was going to suggest looking at the wiring for 7th gen tailgate as well as I doubt they're that different. A...

    Another tailgate issue.

Thought I'd dodged most of them, hoping someone will read this and know exactly what the problem is. When the tailgate lowers remotely it doesn't latch and I can't open it either remotely or manually. When I slam it shut manually I can open it remotely but not manually. I'll get some contact...

Pressure hose replacement on power steering pump

Just remember that video is for a left hand drive car so steering rack and connections will appear different and like I mentioned in my first post you do not need a pole jack to support the engine, just undo subframe bolts on drivers side only and itll barely drop an inch or two.

    Tensioner issues

What way do you have to turn the tension bolt, clockwise or anti? If anti have you seen those nut remover sockets, I have an Irwin set that helped when I rounded a few very rusty calliper bolts. They can get purchase on a cylinder.

Pressure hose replacement on power steering pump

I used this youtube vid for reference at the time - see from aroud 2 - 6 minutes, the advice is sound. This is for removing the complete rack mind however I did purchase a 19mm split ring spanner and a set of shorties using his technique with a pry bar to get purchase on the hose nut to crack...

    Engine Drummimgrumming?

Does it matter, just use one of reasonable quality I suppose like Wynns or Loctite?

Hope this is the right place to post a question, if not admin can you point me to the right place please?

See my signature for the workshop manual. Err...the issue is the alarm LED lighting for a few seconds then going out and this happens intermittantly? Somebody may have a solution or understand what's going on but honestly if it bothers you that much tape over it rather than see it as the...

Mods, can we sticky a link to the 7th gen workshop manual in a prominent place? https://mega.nz/file/8yBikA7J#rka_gnMLM9XaN_09dI8GiTaZVcyNwgx3D93uyuAgIm4

Pressure hose replacement on power steering pump

Ok, well I think you're not doing anything till your hose arrives, keep an eye on this thread and I'll update it over the weekend.

Pressure hose replacement on power steering pump

Not particularly, just access for your hands and tools is the the biggest issue which you'll have to work out for yourself. You might find a split ring spanner handy (17mm I think). I'll be under the car this weekend so I can check. Are you sure it's the hose and not the rack?

Pressure hose replacement on power steering pump

Dropping the subframe will give you the couple or three inches that'll give you better access to the power-steering rack. It's a pita but not as difficult or potentially dangerous as it sounds. Just undo the subframe bolts on the drivers side only, I used a piece of 2 x 4 as wedge between the...

    Headlight glass

I was slightly intimidated by removing the bumper but it's only 5 - 10 minute job...a few easily accesible screws and bolts but mainly snap together fittings that can take being snapped back and forth. Once you get used to pulling them off and realising they don't break it's very straightforward.

There seem to be quite a few post facelift grills available from Russia, never have liked the chromed grill on the face of mine...

    Headlight glass

Ideally use a lens sealer after polishing, that should ensure they last more than a year.
