Tnks, need keycode from mk 7 wheres best place to find that?

Belt tension/wear perhaps, has it had the conversion to shorter serpentine?

I recently had a poor experience with the repair goo, ended up hopping home having to stop every ten minutes to recharge the tyre. I had a spare and a spacesaver ready to go but completely forgot about putting them in. Doh... lesson learned, don't rely on the goo.

Strange symtoms to find on this motor that's all as it's reknowned for being tight especially one as youthful as yours, as said not normally a known issue.

Trial and error if you can't see them, mostly attached long the front valance and down each side on the front subframe if your model has the same as mine. Some will probably need to be replaced.

Good idea, very well executed. Yeah it's a common problem, at the time a few years ago I just replaced the rotten cooler pipe with an actual small after market oil cooler kit. Still going strong I'm happy to say.

It's an air temp sensor true but what it would have to do with a tailgate opening and closing I don't know.

The Mk 8 handles better but the boot space has been fairly severly compromised but according to many that seems to be the only downside.

Sorry for your loss, there are some third party devices out there but I don't know how effective they are or if they make 'em for a mk7. Is your replacement going to be an OEM or a thord party replacment and therefore still a target? If they go at it with grinders wouldn't they just be able to...

I can't see the ULEZ not being expanded even if the consultation says otherwise. I suppose I should ask Fahad but how is that done? From a complete layman's point of view you still have a phyical filter that'll trap particulates that has to be burned off and potentially get blocked/full. So...

Superb, so it's a modern diesel with the usual potential issues. One of the offending items needs blanking which I've experienced with an older vehicle but does the other need to be completely removed physically to be future proofed?
