    Picked this up for £1100

I agree with @antdad that’s a lovely looking 7th. Great find. Personally I’d stick with the halogens because as previously stated you may fail your MOT. Have you checked what bulbs you’ve got? They may just be cheap or long life ones and simply upgrading to some Philips racing visions or similar...

    K24 Manual Black Tourer

Rhino Ramps Heavy Duty 5 Ton I’ve only had them 6 months so can’t comment on long term reliability, but I’ve used them about 7 or 8 times. Really strong and sturdy and perfect if you’ve got a job to do that doesn’t need the wheels off e.g. oil change.

    K24 Manual Black Tourer

Thanks mate, appreciate it. I’m also considering replacing the crank and alternator pulleys with this underdrive set by Buddy Club. For my list of exterior mods I’m still planning on copying your headlight de-tango method, as well as fit the type s side skirts and front lip. I’m also toying...

    K24 Manual Black Tourer

I forgot to say that I just took delivery of probably one of the last brand new PLM exhaust headers as they haven't made them for a few years now. I emailed NSP in the Netherlands and they just happened to have one in the warehouse. Cost me £280 including shipping and then an additional £60...

    K24 Manual Black Tourer

Following on from the calipers I shortly after added wheel spacers. After much measuring and forum hunting, I went with 15mm hub-centric Eibach's on the front and 20mms on the back. The car is seriously dirty at the moment as I've just come back from a 350 mile round trip and not had the...

    K24 Manual Black Tourer

Next up I decided to paint my calipers as the stock silvers were looking a bit tired. I went with a medium blue and put some vinyl stickers on as well. They are quite subtle in person, which is the way I like it.

Spacer installed. I noticed a slight improvement in throttle response but not sure about the advertised HP/torque gains. I tested it at my usual spot with similar weather/temps and consistenly achieved a 0-60 time of 6.8 seconds. I bought the spacer through eBay from the U.S.A. and for a total...

Throttle Body Coolant Bypass After the CSC valve delete I bypassed the coolant line that routes through the throttle body (TB). I did this by disconnecting the hoses that run into and out of the TB, then connected them to each other using an 8mm brass connector and the existing clips. I then...

    K24 Manual Black Tourer

I haven't updated this thread in a while, but I've done a few bits since I last posted. Clutch Slave Cylinder Delay Valve Removal - late August I briefly posted about this here. Honda call this the Delay Orifice Mechanism. Here's the description from the ESM: 'The delay orifice mechanism...

    Accord bulb sizes

Henry those lamps are for the American only Accord, not the rest of the world. Over there a Honda Accord is known as an Acura TSX. I’ve used auxito for all my interior lamps and exterior except main & dipped beam and have found them to be pretty good.

    Blowing Headlight Bulbs

I’ve used Auxito for all internal and external lights except high/low beams & fogs on two cars for the last couple of years and haven’t yet had to replace any. It’s worth noting that the above link is for the U.S. only accord, which uses different high/low beams and fogs, possibly others too...

    Clock gone haywire !

It reset itself around the 17th of August. I have the sat nav version and it works great, just need to turn auto daylight saving off and adjust the clock by 1 hour. See this thread for some useful info.

Problem take out first gear on high revs - 2.4 manual

Haha can confirm it is embarrassing indeed! That’s basically what the valve does though, it forces you to shift more slowly. Now that I’ve removed it the issue is gone, so when I occasionally want to zip through the gears I can without the potential for a forced slip caused by the valve. As an...

Problem take out first gear on high revs - 2.4 manual

So this evening I deleted the delay valve from my clutch slave cylinder and I can confirm that it does indeed work! Clutch feels pretty much the same in terms of stiffness, but I had no problem slamming it from 1st to 2nd multiple times this evening, where as before it would sometimes crunch...

7th Gen Accord Saloon with a baby?

I reckon a lot of that will be down to the weight and emmissions beating stuffs. They are somewhere between 600 and 800kg heavier, I think. Couple of pics below so you can see the snug fit. I'm 6ft 1 but have no trouble getting her in/out of the seat, which at this point stays in the car...
