I'm on the lookout for a Type S wheel 18" Not as a spare but just to allow me to get a ding taken out of my existing set.

    Spare wheel

Space saver or full size? If you only had a tyre goo kit then there is a DIY spare wheel how to in the DIY section. Mine has 18" wheels stock but they are very large in the wheel well. I opted for a 16" Civic steel wheel and a 205/55 tyre which means I would have to change the rear wheel first...

Has anybody use Autodoc for spares?

I would have fitted now PSB bushes but the Mk8 has a different sized bush to the Mk7 and the UK ebay seller didn't reply to my queries. I did find another manufacturer of Poly bushes by the name of Siberian Bushing and they had the correct part but postage was quite expensive for such a small...

Has anybody use Autodoc for spares?

I used them recently for some complete LCA for the Tourer, rather than buying bushes this time I went for the complete arms even though I have access to a press. Their range is good all makes and models of aftermarket, some are brands I haven't heard much about others like TRW are well known...

    Warped disk breaks

#3 shows the slider pins, they should be able to move in and out freely. If they seize then the caliper will stick on causing excessive heat. with the caliper removed push the carrier back and forth and see if they move freely.

    Warped disk breaks

If the hubs were painted that will cause issues, the paint thickness is not uniform and anything on that surface will cause issues, it should be just bare metal. Yes surfacing is skimming.

    Warped disk breaks

Often warped brakes are actually not warped but suffer from material build up on the surface of the disc which causes a grip-slip-grip feeling not unlike warped discs in feel. Check the discs for runout with a dial gauge, if they are in spec the disc is likely to need surfacing to remove the...

    NSF window took a dive!

Probably the glass has become detached from the regulator support and the regulator has dropped and the glass was stuck. Take the doorcard off and see if you can reattach the regulator to the glass, it may only need reseating and tightening.

    Accord 7th gen Lowering options

Sounds like springs are either soft or cracked. Springs carry the load, the shocks only really dampen the oscillation as the suspension compresses over bumps. If the springs are weak or wrongly specced the car will ride low and hit the bump stops.

Poor mpg and loss of power I dtec

Auto is a different fuel filter setup, manual cars have it on the firewall, under a fusebox. Try cleaning the MAF sensor, new airfilter and see if that makes any difference. You can buy specific MAF cleaning spray, not brake cleaner.

    Ingalls 35623 camber kit

If you want rear camber adjustment its either the Ingalls arm and adjustable balljoint or the SPC arm kit which is very expensive and maybe NLA.

    Ingalls 35623 camber kit

Great to know, thanks very much for replying. Looking forward to new tyres and some suspension work now! New front LCA and rear camber kit should sort a lot of the problems that develop with age, my ATS tourer is a 13 model but has 80k miles on it now so time for a refresh.

    Ingalls 35623 camber kit

Reviving this zombie, I have just seen that my rear tyres are down to the cord on about 30mm from the inside edge. The rest of the tread is getting pretty low but still legal, I have ordered an Ingalls kit which has fortunately come down a lot to around 80usd. Regarding fitting time, I have...

    Front and rear brakes sticking

Chemicals are usually salt or some kind of chloride, yes they affect all metal parts and not in a good way My last car was a 7th Gen Exec, When I got it I rebuilt the rear brake calipers with rubber grease and the old seals, I never had any problems with them but a lot of other owners complained...

    Front and rear brakes sticking

Probably the slider pins and possibly the pistons are binding, Fix it by removing the caliper and the slide pins and then regreasing and refitting. You need special grease for the pins and pistons, the Honda kit for the piston seals has the special grease sachets, one pink and one orange. If...

Judder when reversing or moving off in 1st

I'd bet its the engine mount, its not a cheap part though. The fact that its actually listed should point to the fact that these do give problems in reverse. I need to do mine as it has a bad judder in reverse, Type S 2.2 2013 with 80k...
