CL7 Premium Sound system - Want to install single DIN

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in Hereford and you're in East London? So not gonna work unfortunately. I have a brodit dock for my iphone, that has a connector on it and then you can plug a lead into that. So you just push the phone into the mount and is connected. Then I have a cable that...

Cracked Manifold- Advice needed regarding Honda UK

Doesn't matter if it has never been serviced at a Honda dealer. As long as Honda parts were used for the servicing. My old diesel was just under 125k miles when mine failed. Never serviced at Honda, but full stamped service history. My claim was accepted. 124 miles over? You could have phoned...

CL7 Premium Sound system - Want to install single DIN

As you might have seen elsewhere, I've recently got myself a Euro R. It came with the original headunit from Japan and no band expander installed. So can only pickup radio 2. I also want to connect my iphone to play music and make calls. So thought the best way to do this is install a single...

REVIEW + DIY: Accord Type R Caliper Upgrade

Adding my couple of cents, as I think I will be doing this upgrade on my Euro R (apparently can warp their discs easily). I have seen the dc2 owners doing this mod and discussing it as well. Having had the same issue on 4th Gen prelude, replacing discs only to have another set of warped discs...

Can we all play. Do you know what a pseudowire is?

RPM idle has doubled to 1500 after battery reconnection!

Well I can confirm that this never happens on the diesel  Seems normal behaviour to me. The car is relearning its settings. On the old hondas. We'd remove the radio fuse or disconect the battery to force the ecu to relearn. And as said take it for a drive. Don't know about this HDS...

    jap auto parts birmingham

Last couple of times I have put a request into one of those breakers part search engines. You get emails and calls coming back pretty quickly. Give it a while and compare the offers that come back and go with the one you think is the best. B)

    EGR blanking

I would imagine the EGR on the diesel is a closed loop system. I.e. there are sensors after the EGR valve that are looking for certain values? If you just blank it off the ECU is not going to like it because no matter what it does its not getting the required values? Will this produced any more...

    Aux Drive Belt Diesel

Got a diesel as well. Had a noise from this area. It was the auto tensioner that had ceased. Check the tension on the belt and go from there B)

    Pete's fix list

I didn't find the leak. I soaked the rear with the boot shut. Checked immediately, no water ingress. Checked a couple of hours later, no water ingress. Checked a couple of days later no water ingress. This winter I didn't have the water in the wheel well. I think the time I found it water is due...

    A bit upset

The good old days of Honda you could get a paper clip, bridge the correct connectors and read the flashes (just read you can do this on the K-series engines - probably pre CANBUS though). So you need a reader. £90 +VAT seems a lot just to have a look, seeing as you can pick up a reader for £50...

    Still getting brake judder grrrr

You mention the judder and the first thing people will say is. 1. Get the wheels re-balanced. 2. Change the discs and pads on the car, because the discss are warped. But there is known issue on the diesels where the inner joints wear out, typically on the passenger side (have had this on my...

Just bought my car....but hate the tyres!

HOW TO JUSTIFTY If it only has 16" wheels or 17" wheels (but not the five spoke). Search and second hand set of the 5 spoke wheels with decent tyres. Then sell on the original set of alloys to make the money back emphasing the life left in the tyres you are selling. I run 17" 225/45 Khumo's...

    A bit upset

Sorry to hear this, always gutting straight after a new purchase. Is the check light effecting the performance of the car in anyway? Do you have the manual for the car? Always best to check in there what manual recommends to do when that light comes on? Is there away to clear the light with out...

Intake manifold and EGR cleaning on i-CTDi

I would imagine the build up would be bad on cars doing short trips all the time as it never gets burnt off and blown through and out the exhaust? Hence why its good to rag a diesel once in a while to clean it out. If I can find the time I will give a go at cleaning mine out as well. Good guide...

    Pete's fix list

I've had my 2005 Accord for just over 2 years, I bought it with 89k miles on it and I have taken it to 155k miles. In that time I have always made sure it was serviced on the dot and as consumables wore out they were always replaced ahead of time. It had to be it was my main car for work. So...

    Wobble through steering wheel

Good news. I did get a joint from Steels Honda, but it was an outer joint, I think, and I returned it. I got a complete set of driveshafts (as I went through breakers). Car is now approaching 155k miles and issue hasn't returned.

7th gen facelift flat wiper retrofit

Yeah, I have the Bosch Aero Twins, if I knew that I could have got the post facelift one's I would have gone for them. The bulge aint an issue. The ones I got from Honda were the pre-face lift, normal style. Either good mod, looks nice and clean.

7th gen facelift flat wiper retrofit

You can get this flat type wipers from Honda? I have flat types, but I have bosch ones. I did think that the piece (you have removed) would be a problem, but it never has been. Previous wipers I bought from Honda as well, they didn't seem to work as well nor last as long.
