The green key light is something to do with your immobiliser, strange that it would flicker while driving. Is there an aftermarket alarm fitted?? Once driving the light should remain off. I'd look at the ignition itself for signs of excessive wear or could be a failing immobiliser unit.....

Check for blue smoke out of exhaust on cold start up, that would mean she's burning the oil and chances are she missed a service in it's previous life and the rings have been damaged due to lack of lubrication. Sidenote: was it a reputable person that did the timing belt?

I believe the badge with the radar is different to a standard badge and therefore the radar could melt or ruin the new badge.

You do need the Disc for the clock. Not certain of the setup on the drive so can't answer that.
