Facelift models have a smaller 2 bar chrome grille and clear front indicators. Pre-facelift have a 3 bar grille and yellow indicators, except Type S.

Aircon...use it or lose it Vital to run it often to keep it working.

After my seized caliper, I'd advise changing the rear pads sooner. The further the piston moves out the more likely it is to seize. 2.0 petrol has caliper handbrake, the diesel's and 2.4 have drum brake handbrake.

Try a few independent aircon specialists. They will fix it less. Remember the idtec needs the aircon working to perform a regeneration. So be careful you might clog up your dpf.

Why use semi-synth when you can get full synth for £25 for 4 litres.

Yeah I've used Castrol Magnatec 5w/30 full synth, the last 3 times, seems to work ok. Also seems to be £25-30 for 4 litres which is reasonable. I've read on the other forum 0w/30 or 20, but seems a bit thin for an older engine, maybe on a new one. They reckon fuel consumption is better.

Rich, have you found cold starting any better with new plugs? Mine can sometimes be a bit reluctant to start from cold, can take 2 or 3 goes. Probably change my plugs this summer, they have done 75k miles.
