Unfortunately all Accords in Milano Red will go this colour naturally too... :)

    Two different idling sounds

On our diesels I've believe it's due to the EGR valve opening after engine has been idling for 30s.

    Front Anti Roll Drop Links

Darn. OEM front link on tourer was 70mm centre to centre but this pattern front link was 85mm centre to centre and is definitely not going to fit. Maybe if I replace both sides could rotate the anti roll bar for the extra 15mm but I'd ***ume there was a difference between saloon and tourer for a...

    radio reception issue

Try silver conductive paint as used to repair keyboards following coke/beer spills, perhaps with an overcoat with of varnish for protection.

    Front Anti Roll Drop Links

I did look at those but they just looked not quite right and cheap with its green cup  so went for advert selling a single link (should have bought a pair) which stated estate so could easily return them but P&P was higher. It does have the slight twist to opposite ends but the...

    Front Anti Roll Drop Links

EBay purchase was here. It arrived in a bag marked HO15014 so matches product code in advert at least but its image doesn't quite match as below is what I received. Much appreciated if you can check it's right for a tourer.

    Front Anti Roll Drop Links

After finding my front right anti roll drop link was broken I've bought replacement via EBay (as £50 OEM seems excessive even with HH discount) which states it's suitable for saloon and estates. However before I try fitting it this weekend, a few questions. While I knew that for tourers the rear...

    Squeaky clutch pedal....with a difference

You've not used a rubber friendly grease that will probably be causing the o-rings to swell and hence squeak. Red rubber or silicone grease are the safe rubber greases that have been repeatedly recommended in all the threads.

DIY: Full engine service on the Pre Facelift i-CTDI Accord

For gearbox, as F6HAD says, just use either the (short) extension bar found in a 3/8" socket set or a 1/2" to 3/8" socket adapter without any sockets. Also works on recessed mains shutoff valves such as when upstairs neighbours boiler started leaking while they were on holiday...

    Old or modified VSA?

It looks like the fixed model. From the topic Warranty Extension: VSA Modulator Light on page 6, for TSB bulletin number SK-07-007-00 dated 01/11/2010 the revised part numbers of fixed VSA modules are; Accord Diesel [CN1] : 57110-SEF-xxx Accord Diesel [CN2] : 57110-SEG-xxx Though yours...

    Softened Water

If space allows, I'd suggest rain water collection into linked barrels to get free (other than maybe needing an extra pump) soft water. I researched this this a while ago and there is a stickied thread at Detailing World on Using recycled rainwater but there are plenty of other suggestions all...

    Leaking Door Seals

Yep, a very useful guide thanks. I do feel the Honda window seals are pretty crap (at least 7th gen). Most cars have the exterior rubber seal tight against the window whereas we appear to have a gully to collect tiny leaves and debris which damages the felt seal. The felt seal in turn doesn't...

major rear brake issue - 2007 Tourer

Don't use WD40 near brake caliper pistons as it causes O-rings to swell. So if the spray gets past the dust seal it could then cause the fluid seal to seize against piston. Only use red rubber grease around brake pistons (copper grease on the back of pads to stop squeal is fine).

What sort of mpg do you all get on your diesels?

Last tank was an unbelievable (for a tourer) 66.5mpg! Usually average 42mpg with town and A roads with occasional heavy foot action but less motorway. Majority of this record tanks mileage had been over New Year, traveling up to Cairngorms for some skiing and then over to Loch Awe for Hogmanay...

    Mid Winter Deep Clean ;)

Hmm, very nice job. Need to do the same to mine but think know I'll need to paint the suspension and calipers to clear surface rust too.

    Transporting Push Bikes.

Scum. However, I forgot to mention that I do put a tarpaulin over them to hide them (and occasionally when the stacked correctly I can even use the tonneau cover).

    Transporting Push Bikes.

I regularly carry two, occasionally three, MTB's in the boot of my Tourer. As well as the above points carrying them inside the car protects them from thieves especially if parking overnight somewhere.

    Puncture Repair Kit

None! Bought them second hand from a 17" upgrader on THAOC, only cost only a little more than a single space saver (and I hate repair fluid) for a set matching my original 16" alloys. Was thinking about complete set of winter tyres and pot hole damage.
