    EGR cleaning

In short mate no and no. I didn't change any o rings and it's not leaked since I put it back. There was no fuel spray either. The injector rail came out nicely with the injectors all attached so no leaks at all. I didn't even have to get the fire brigade involved lol.

    WHEEL WOBBLE

Could possibly be the tyres mate, especially if they're a cheap make and worn. Also, I had a tyre place a few years back try to balance my wheels with one weight in the middle instead of the proper way and having inner and outer weights. I kept getting vibration until I took it to another garage...

What tyres is everyone using nowadays?

Personally I always like Michelin Tyres, especially Michelin Primacy although I had Michelin energy on my last car and I was happy with them too. I've always found Michelin tyres to be excellent and very quiet. Plus with me being a Costco member I can get them at a really good price as well :)...

    Fuel Consumption & Tank Level

Not necessarily bud no. Some fuel additives are quite mild where as others can be really strong and work very quickly. Each to their own of course but personally I like using additives, the better ones that is.

Synthetic Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 into F20B6 engine

You'd probably be ok with 5w30 but it'll probably burn a bit more quickly and it's not ideal really. TBH I don't think Magnatec is as good as people think. It's certainly nothing special. I've put Valvoline maxlife semi synthetic 10w40 in mine which is made for higher mileage engines and it runs...

    EGR cleaning

Actually no need to reply to this now because I've managed to do it! Pain in the backside of a job because the wiring loom does not move out the way much at all. I had to lift the injector rail up but couldn't move it aside completely. Still I managed to get the EGR inlet out from underneath...

    EGR cleaning

Right then, next job on the list for my accord is to clean that EGR plate thing. I can't think of the right word but you all know what I mean lol. Anyway I tried to do this a few weeks ago but got a bit uneasy when it came to lifting off that injector rail. For one, the wiring loom going above...

That's great to know, thanks gents :)

    Radiator fans

Yeah it's probably just over a third I'd say. Between a third and half way. That's reassuring yours being the same though. Cheers for replying :)

    Radiator fans

Another little concern on my newly acquired Accord gents is the radiator fans seem to be coming on a bit more than cars I've had previously. The temp gauge never reaches half way and there's plenty of coolant in the header tank so it all looks ok yet a few times now I've noticed I've arrived...

Quick Question - Alarm & Dog!

Thing that comes to mind with me is, do you really need to lock the car with the dog inside? Is the dog not a deterrent enough? I don't know anything about the Accord car alarms but I'm wondering if you locked it by turning the key in the door lock instead of using the remote maybe that would work?

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Oh really, well that makes them a bit more attractive then if you turn the flashing lights off. I'll have to go look at one properly in halfords I think. :) Half of them probably don't even know they've got dab lol

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

The only thing that puts me off pioneer is they seem to have a lot of flashing lights on the front nowadays and I'm not keen on the look. Be like having close encounters of the third kind on my dashboard lol. I think in your case a lot of the confusion with other brands might be down to you not...

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Actually mine is squeaking a bit as well when I put the air con on. Going to get it tightened up a touch this morning seen as I've got a funeral to go to on Friday and if I roll up behind the funeral car with my fan belt squealing I'll look like a right tramp! Lol. May as well get a ford cortina...

    Fuel Consumption & Tank Level

I know a lot of you aren't fans of fuel additives but personally I am and if you're unhappy with your mpg I can't recommend enough throwing a bottle of wynns formula gold diesel fuel additive in the tank. It'll cost you around fifteen quid in most places but it really is worth it. Not only will...

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Oh don't worry I'll be turning the stereo up lol. I quite fancy a nice Bluetooth one :) Is it your fanbelt or cambelt that's noisey Mr Flyer?

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Well the be all and end all of yesterday is I didn't really get anywhere. The mechanic I spoke to said the belt does sound a little tight but it might settle down with use. He said quite often with Peugeot you'll set the belts on them to manufacturers spec and they can be a bit tight. But as for...

Why does my car sound like a flying saucer?

Somebody's written on another forum "cambelt noise is like having your wife in the car 24/7. Constantly whines and moans" ha ha. God help him if his wife sees that!
