Odd. I rarely go under the Tourer but when I do, I never find any serious corrosion. Perhaps the slight leak of steering fluid (plus being a diesel) helps protect the bodywork ?

And.......... passed for another year. Advisories on the headlights (as usual) but apart from a failing tyre tread, nothing else cropped up. I've already opened a bottle. Cheers !

What happens when you apply 12V direct to the solenoid ?
