Shabz, mine is a 2006 facelift. I believe there are 2 different types of dvd player and the change occurred with the facelift, but I`m not sure. I`m sure it`s mentioned on here somewhere or it could be on the tsx forum, link in the first post.

Thanks Brett, like Gary I am a bit confused by this LED business, theres so many to choose from, is it 7443 or 7440, clear or red/orange. Think I`ll leave well alone.

The panel on the top of the dash comes out dead easy. The hard bit is the DVD player surround, that is clipped in very tight but Alan in his reverse camera thread suggests pulling it back as far as possible and lubricating the clip to help getting it out. On the old THAOC I did a DIY on fitting...

Think I`m being a bit of a dimwit here (I can just picture hundreds of heads nodding in agreement) but I`ve just typed into Ebay "7440/7443 orange LED" and nothing comes up. Is it 7440 or 7443, is there a difference or am I barking totally up the wrong tree. Maybe I should leave well alone

No idea mate. All I do know is that Jav fitted the same camera as me to his saloon and he replaced the number plate light with it. Hopefully he will come along and explain further

Good news, it was the battery that was causing my problems, the car is now fine. Even the reverse camera is working after faffing about for a couple of hours trying to work out why it wasn`t working in the first place. It turned out to be a combination of 2 things. Firstly the plug in the back...

Thanks Oz, I`ll have a look tomorrow. I did check the VSA fuse, couldn`t find one for ABS or airbags. Also could you or someone confirm something for me. Power for the camera needs to be taken from the reverse light and grounded, so I spliced into the two wires going into the reverse light...

Think I`ve blown it now, literally. I decided to check everything and worked my way back to the connector I made that plugged into the dvd drive for the satnav. It seemed to be a bit loose so I took it out and plugged it back in, put it in reverse and success, I had a perfect clear picture of...

Not at all Dave, I`m sure you`re very busy. I`ve managed without for the past 3 & half years it won`t hurt to wait a bit longer, besides I`ve overdosed on electrics recently with my cctv and failed (miserably) reverse camera install. So no rush, first post tomorrow morning will do :D
