    Gearbox Query

You're going to need a gearbox from the Type R mate. You're right that the facelift cars had this problem rectified. So try to get one from after 2001. There are usually a few around, but would be easier to get someone else to repair the one you've got rather than having to source one, get it...

    Cat warning code intermittent.

Cool cool. Feel free to keep us all up to date with what's going on dude. Would be cool to see the (hopefully very few) problems that might arise and the results :)

    Hesitant / kangarooing acceleration

Here's the basics dude. http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/a8520/cars-101-how-to-do-a-compression-test-14912158/ If you've not done one before then best to get someone over who has to show you the first time :) *edit* I've put a 'How-To' guide for the valve clearances on here...

    Cat warning code intermittent.

No worries dude. You shouldn't have any problems keeping the car running for a few more years :)

    Hesitant / kangarooing acceleration

Only things I can think of apart from this are injectors. Or get a compression test done.

    Hesitant / kangarooing acceleration

If it were an O2 sensor fault then you'd have a code come up. My advice, fill the car with a tank of V-Power, get it warm and then run up to the redline a few times (in gear) so slip roads are your friend, then top it up with V-Power again. If it's a carbon deposit fault, which if the car...

Accord Type R - Reverse Gear Issue - Help Please

Hey dude, welcome to the forum :) Sorry to say this but there is no easy fix. It's a gearbox rebuild as the 5th gear synchro is a known fault on the prefacelft type Rs and some of the earlier facelift models. The reverse gear and 5th both share a synchro which is why they 'both' fail. Sorry...

    Some questions about my accord

Personally think the 6th gens handling is more than adequate. First think to check is drop links. Center caps from a breakers or similar, avoid the dealers. 400+ miles from a tank is what I got on both my 2.0 6th and my ATR...that's under usual driving conditions.

    The Accord Coupe ?

The coupes are usually 6 pot jobs, but a few 4s are available. My only issue would be the auto box. So many reported failures on both sides of the pond.

    Cat warning code intermittent.

O2 sensor probably. Could change the cat with another used one and see if that solves the problem before replacing sensors.

    Adding to the collection..

Avoid 6th gen autos. The 6th gen auto box is a known problem.

    Rear Suspension 'clonk'

Unless you get it trailered I can't see another way to get the car there. Just be very careful.

    empty ****ler

^^^^loud lol An exhaust and decat on the F20 will not do anything for power. There aren't many gains to get from the F20 engine. Get yourself an aftermarket air filter cone for more noise in VTEC and a rear cat back ****ler will give you more noise in regular driving.

New Honda Accord has a very hard ride

16s on my tourer feel like I'm driving on a cloud. I love it.

    Rear Suspension 'clonk'

Could you not just unhook the exhaust and get a drill in there? It's only a suggestion as I'm not entirely versed in the 7th series.

    K20 series engines

My K20 is silent when warm apart from the bloody squeaking aux belt. So an oil change and V/C check would be my advice.

What do i need to run Hondata?

The chap who did his car before was called Justin. I've remembered lol. He had a feature in an old mag. He did the full build. Needed pistons, rods crank etc.

What do i need to run Hondata?

You'll need an aftermarket ECU, probably an OBD11 to OBD1 conversion harness and a 2 pin IACV. The problem will be the manifolds and the pipe work, but as your mates a fabricator he can make all that fit for you. You'll also need to consider where you'll place te intercooler. I can't...
