    empty ****ler

Just louder. All the matting is just sound deadening. You'll get no more power, just more noise. If anything all you'll do is loose torque due to lower back pressure. As has been said at worst all you'll get is an EML light on due to the extra flow over the O2 sensor in the centre section.

    Lightweight alloy wheels

10.5kgs sounds about right for the weight. The standard ATR alloys weigh 9.9 kgs each.

There was a chap on here who came to the first HH meet years and years ago. He bought an eBay kit, got his trusted mechanic to fit it and it worked and looked OEM.

    Lightweight alloy wheels

Lightweight wheels are a minefield. There's 'light' then 'light' lol. Rotas are a good budget option for wheels, but if you're after lighter than that you'll be looking at Volks. I've got TE37s on my Type R in 17s. They weight 5.1kgs each without tyres. But they cost £1800 for 4, but £1900 inc...

    New Wheels

Can't go wrong for that price. I would like to add, completely off topic mind, but these are the same make and design wheels I had on my first car.

    Wet starting

I had this last winter. The car was left not started for nearly a week and when I tried to start her she'd turn over, but wouldn't fire. The problem for me was condensation in the plugs. So a quick spray of WD40 with the plugs in situ and she fires every time now.

    Poor Fuel Economy

I can get 400 from a cruise, but 350ish through normal driving.

The wheels are a pain to source for a 6th gen. When I had my 2.0 I spent about 2 months trying to find some. If you search for my username in the photo bit there'll be some pics of my old car somewhere. The wheels I got were universal ones but there are wheels out the with the 4x114.3 fitment...

Tein and BC Racing both do kits u believe. BC would be personal choice. Just remember if you do decide to order some, order them over the phone, not via a website, that way you'll be able to ensure that they send the kit that fits.

Great looking car fella. With regard to lowering Eibach et al, are great and I can personally recommend Eibach. My advice would be a set of coilovers though as you said you want shocks and springs. Any questions don't hesitate to ask.

    Here's anew one on me.....

Which wax/polish do you use on the car? Instead of spending more money on more products buy a little bottle of MER wax of you haven't got any and use that.

It's pretty hard to get any debris into the engine. Just put the rocker cover in a box on the passenger seat. To set the gaps all you need is a set of feeler gauges. I've put the gaps on here somewhere. I do mine every 6 months.

The VCs really are easy to do. The only problem with taking the car to a dealer to get done is the engine must be stone cold when setting them. This means you'd have to leave the car with them over night.
