    Wheel Tracking

I'd be checking the inner and outer track rod ends on the right hand side first. Undo the outer track rod end and see if you can feel the slack in the inner track rod joint at the rack. A tight joint will hold itself up, whereas a slack joint will fall and slap the subframe. If they've not...

    Injector 4 leaking

Flat blade screwdriver that fits in the hole.of the washer. Ram it in the hole to pick it up. Think i used a No.2 when I had to fish one out.

    Wheel Tracking

For it to be wrong enough to wreck tyres so quickly, it must really be toe-ing out. Unless you either run loads of negative camber, or go round corners like you're Colin mcrae.

    Injector 4 leaking

They all came out of my accord clean. The civic motor I bought had a mucky injector on no. 1 though.

    Leaky Injector, replacement options?

You can anneal the copper rings and re-use them. Heat them to cherry red with a blowtorch (or the gas hob When the wife's not looking ;) ) and drop them into cold water. Makes them fat again and as good as new. (Also works for copper brake line washers) 4x annealed washers. Money saved, and...

    Injector 4 leaking

Just push fit, and just the fuel line and injector plug, yes. Some people have had success with undoing the clamp that holds the injector down, then running the car so that the injector spits itself out. I turned mine gently a couple of degrees with a lever a to break the seal before removing...

    Big Help Needed

Don't need to touch the fuel pump to do a chain swap. The injectors have to be removed to remove the cam cover. If an injector has it's cap removed, its meant to go to a specialist for recalibration. There's also a tiny ball in there that's easily lost and re-fitting everything under the cap...

    Wheel Tracking

As per Jon's suggestion. For there to be any considerable variation, you'd need a significant amount of movement at a joint, which would point to the front Lower Control Arm (LCA) bushes. Drive the car with your hands off the wheel, and accelerate/decelerate. If it pulls left when you let...

    Another ABS/VSA pump, again

Good that it's not showing the dreaded 66-1 any more. The used unit I bought was just as broken as my original, so had to go back. Lost all enthusiasm for fixing it.

    how to price my accord?

As someone who sold vehicles for 3 years, the money's probably there in the deal for the equivalent of a fair p/x price, but can't be written up as such, so you have to look at the cost to change, not focus on the p/x price. They can make money off your car if they write it up as being worth a...

    how to price my accord?

The invoice for the engine means nothing. It's the miles on the chassis that matter. My engine's done 50k less than my car, but it doesn't add to it's value. You don't say if it's petrol or diesel, which of coursw afgects price too.

What MPG are you getting at a steady 80 MPH?

Never saw thisnpost, but I like it. I'd take 6mpg if I could have 250mph from the old tractor.

Inner driveshaft cv joint stuck tight

Great news. Once everything's fixed it's usually funny when i look at the non standard toolbox items in the floor that I've dug out of the garage in an attempt to remove something. Always good to be resourceful. Always a lottery with driveshafts I find. They either pop out nicely, or you end...

    Suspension opinions ?

Bilstein B12 kit. It's B8 struts (which are a short B6) and Eibach aprings. More importantly, the damper cartridges are valved specifically to suit each particular car model, unlike most generic coilover kits. From experience, you get both better performance and ride quality. Having had 2...

Inner driveshaft cv joint stuck tight

Great to hear. Recently I tried something similar removing a tricky driveshaft, but with a tie-down strap round the back of the cup. Wouldn't have any of it though and stayed stuck, probably down to the stretch in the strap. Managed to get a drift on it from behind luckily.

Inner driveshaft cv joint stuck tight

Problem is, sometimes with a constant application of force, the circlip can be trying to ride up out of the groove, locking everything up. Pushing the cup back toward the diff, then giving it a sharp whack can be a more effective way of separating the two. I do agree about the positioning of...

    Knocking under braking !

I have the Eicher (?) EuroCarParts in my diesel and it's all good - actually due a new set. Could they be the incorrect pads and therefore a little slack? Does the diesel and petrol pad even swap over?? Normally though with a slack pad, you just get the one clunk (I have rattly pads in my race...
