    Water leaks everywhere

There is a issue that can easily be ignored: Inside the doors, there is a plastic sheet that prevents water that gets inside the door, to get inside the car. This plastic can get damaged or get unglued. If this happen, the water that goes into the doors, might get between the door trims, and...

    No reverse

I have no idea of what it could be, but after googling a bit about it, found the following topic on honda-tehc.com. It's not an Accord, but it shouldn't be too different.... http://honda-tech.com/acura-integra-type-r-8/no-reverse-gear-could-2481949/

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

Were you able to remove the plug from the old relay to test the new one?

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

I am not sure, but I think mine is also on the right side of the steering wheel axis.

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

The best way is to remove the bolt that holds the relay in place. I used a combination spanner to undo the bolt. IIRC, its a 12mm bolt. I remember that I removed the plug from the brake pedal switch, it made things easier. BTW, yours have the steering wheel on the wrong side, it could be...

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

Yes, I did bought that fuel pump. Before buying the relay, it's best to check if it's really working or not. If you follow the steps on the pdf that I posted before, it's quite easy to test Then, if it really is the rellay, it could be as simple as cracked solder, as Andy already mentioned...

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

Today I managed to replace the fuel pump. Removing it was not that hard, the big plastic ring was quite easy to remove. Then the pump was just pull out of the hole. The pump has two pipes, one to send fuel to the engine and another to return the fuel back to the deposit. These are quite...

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

BTW, yesterday I tested tight at the fuel pump terminal: while running on LPG, I checked that there was battery voltage on the pump terminals, so it's definitely the fuel pump... This test can also be done by putting a jumper wire between pins 4 and 5 of the main relay. Oh, be aware, that when...

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

Yeah, saw them on ebay. I have been reading a bit about replacing the fuel pump(although not for our cars, but for other hondas), and it seems that replace only the fuel pump from the entire ***embly is not too hard. I really have thought on buying a second hand, but I am going for this one...

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

I have been looking for fuel pumps, and it's not an easy task. I found these ones, but they seem quite different from the original ones. I guess the original ones include the entire ***embly, including the level sensor. Any of you guys know if these pumps can be mounted in our cars? They say...

Fuel pump removal and relay switch location

This just happened to me. Luckily my car is on LPG and I can start it on LPG, although not recommended... I have just tested the main relay, and it seems to be working: I put the multimeter leads in the wires that goes to the fuel pump, and the they make contact when you turn on the ignition...

    Temperature gauge

For a while ago, I have been trying to diagnose some pinging/knocking noise that my engine does. At the moment I suspect it's due to carbon deposits in the combustion chamber. I have read alot about this topic, and many says that carbon deposits causes both a higher fuel consumption and an engine...

    socket set/types

A couple of years ago, when I was looking for tools, I found a range of cheaper tools from Beta, the "Beta Tools Easy". By the price of them, I suspect they can't be as good as proper Beta Tools, but they can't be that bad either. Might worth take a look at them...

    socket set/types

Never used them, but they be great to undo bolts in tight spaces where you can't use a proper ratchet and can't stick you fingers to undo it by hand. But as Iron Man(by the way, great nick :)) said, I don't trust them to "break loose" or tight a a bolt/nut.

    socket set/types

I don't have a set, I buy the tools as I need. Since I am in Portugal, I suppose we don't have access to the same brands. At the moment, my tools are mostly of the brand "Dexter", which is the brand of the "AKI" supermarket chain. I think that "Leroy Merlin" also sells these tools. Besides...

    socket set/types

You don't SAE sockets on the Accord, only metric ones. Also, I mostly use mostly 1/2inch sockets. Occasionally I use 1/4 sockets for smaller bolts/nuts. I also use combination spanners, sometimes they are quite useful.

    Radio/ AC unit illumination

After a long search, I finally found the AC control unit parts. I had to choose the KR version (russia and turky)... http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17S1A11&block_02=B__1701&block_03=2369

    Radio/ AC unit illumination

They are bulbs, and they are not all the same. Can't remember how many... I guess that you could replace them by leds, but you need to know their exact size. Just a screwdriver, nothing special

    Radio/ AC unit illumination

Hi, Yes, it's possible to replace the bulbs on the AC module. You have to remove AC module, which is the same as removing the radio. Then you just have to open the module and replace the bulbs. When I replaced mine, I couldn't find them anywhere, had to go to a Honda dealer, and they are not...
