    Search for the XCarlink.

    MP3 on Satnav HFT?

Have a search for XCarLink - there is pretty much everything you need already here. Use the Google search box at the top rather than the Forum Search box.

No boost below 2,500rpm, no warning lights or fault codes

Another good excuse i can use with the missus now - especially after she's had the car for a week. "It's OK dear - Uncle Faddy says we need to keep the vanes free of face a £1500 repair" Top-TA-Tip :D

Smoke from obd port in 2000 accord 1.8

Damn - you wouldn't have thought there was enough current through the OBD to cause smoke let alone damage (other than uploading dodgy software of course).

Is it possible to give a Honda Accord saloon a hatchback rear door?

oooppphh. That is tasty. Must admit to worry about people that complain about the size of a car being prohibitive to parking. I drive the Accord and a Transit Van (with no rear window) in central London and parking is no more a problem for me now than it was 15 years ago when I had a Fiat...

What MPG are you getting at a steady 80 MPH?

Real life experience has taught me that going over 69mph (on my phone's gps) cripples fuel economy. On the Accord - 6th Gear cruising should be done sub 1900 revs. In my mapped Tranny - 2400 revs. However much funnage can be had on private roads if you know what your steed can do. Redlining...

Bluetooth/Hands Free and Voice Recognition System

You got me there. I am not sure if the Bluetooth module (behind the AC display) can be unplugged whilst leaving the Mic powered. If you have a search for the threads about fitting the XCarlink you'll see how to access it. It isn't that hard really. Depends what matey boy at Honda did I suppose.

Bluetooth/Hands Free and Voice Recognition System

If he has just pulled the HFT fuse out, then I suspect that that has cut the power to the Mic as well. Welcome to the Forum BTW :D

    6 speed CDTI

I drove Fahads old Accord whilst he was playing with the ECU of my van, and the difference was noticeable, but not a deal breaker between pre and post facelift models. You need to look at the package as a whole - the gearing is right down low on the list.

    6 speed CDTI

Indeed, but if you look at the ratios there isn't a lot in it.

How long are you people planning to hang on to your cars for - and why?

Live is too short.... I have a nice EX Tourer and there is very little out there that I genuinely like that isn't impractical for the usual reasons. The cars in this category are pretty soulless and my Accord is part of the family. My little one adores it. So Honda-kun will stay until the...
