Hi Jan 1st thing would be to see if there are any fault codes stored. You need to get these read if any and go from there.

Totally agree I use about 0.5 l every 6k but I do love the Vtec.

Mine is an independent box fitted with the tow bar not with the car.

I must admit mine is the same when warmed up.Im sure it's down to the revs being higher on a cold engine. My bet it's just the injectors a little noisy and because you have had your valves done your looking for noises btw I'm the same.

You might be paranoid now about noises. Is the noise there all the time or just when cold.If the noise disappears when the engine is up to temp then it's the valves. TBH if your not happy get him to check them again. If it's you injectors tapping the noise will be coming from the front cover on...

All K series engines make a slight tapping noise this is due to the injectors. Just a thought did your guy adjust the valves with a completely cold car as if not this is your problem.

As Fahad said chain is on the drivers side behind your pulleys and belt. If it was chain related I would say the noise would be there all the time. Are you sure your valves don't need checking for clearance. If so they will be noisy when cold. If not then driveshaft

Yep there the same calipers only different ones are tourer and saloon. Also 8th gen will fit as well

If you can find one try out an 8th gen 2.4 like mine in manual. It's very lively when you put your foot down and on a run keeping to the speed limits you can easily get 40mpg

There well worth it as I haven't had any inside wear at all. Also tyres has been on for almost 12 months and still 7mm on both tyres on all sides.
