I've read other posts where a hair dryer or heater are used to prise the glass away from the unit. To fuse them back together silicon sealant is used. I would recommend reading other posts about how effective this is long term first before giving it a go.

The bulb looks like it can only go in one way unless I'm mistaken. If the reflector is knackered, a replacement unit is needed I guess?

Put the car in for an MOT today failed on headlight not being bright enough. The nearside light is fine so I changed the offside light and I still have the same problem, not as bright as the nearside. Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

I've just managed to get a lucas alternator for £160 inc VAT. If you still need this doing and are handy with spanners, I would recommend a DIY job.

Doh! The AA came out yesterday and told me the alternator is knackered so i've got a replacement. Are they easy to replace? The AA guy said it should take me about an hour.

Evening all, Whilst driving today my battery light flashed up. Continued to drive home and then the ABS light came on, as did the fuel light and the petrol gauge dropped to empty as my stereo flashed on and off. I've got the OBD scanner on it which showed up no codes. Now the car won't...

I bought a replacement fob shell a couple of years ago. I had to fold up a small piece of paper and put it in the shell to keep the insides tight and it's been fine. Great for £5 or so.

I'll want a couple as well, I want some for japfest in may.

Happy New Year all! I'm looking to buy a set of steel wheels for my '02 sport and was wondering what other dimensions (apart from the diameter) I need to get the correct size wheel. Thanks in advance.

Are you replacing the water pump at the same time? Would you recommend it? The only reason I ask is that I'm replacing my timing belt soon and would rather do everything at the same time.
