    Oil Change - Exol

Just to note, you may use A5/B5 for better fuel economy or A3/B4 oil for better engine protection, so long as it's 0W30 or 5W30, although 0W30 is preferred. I personally use Ravenol. It's pricey, but seems worth it.

Driver's window not going to the top

The procedure for resetting the AUTO function in the Accord seems simpler. Here's the procedure, as per the ESM: Resetting the Power Window Resetting the power window is required after performing repairs to the power windows system or if the auto function fails to operate. Turn the...

    Alternator/charging issue?

I'm suspecting the ELD unit in the under-hood fuse/relay box is misbehaving. It's job is to switch the alternator between low and high charging modes, ie 12.6V and 14.5V, as needed. I would say to check the G302 grounding point for corrosion, but I'm not sure where it is.

    Rear Brake Issue

A bad hose can certainly cause brake binding, as can badly lubricated parts. What about the parking brake cables? Check them for rusting and binding. It could also be a too tight of a parking brake adjustment.

    Accord VII 2.2 Tourer hesitating/stalling - OBD codes P16A4, P0339, P0335

Hello AmboMan, if you're planning on diagnosing this sensor issue on your own, I think you'll find the procedure from the ESM useful: https://mega.nz/file/BtU0jRSR#r8WNJuh2FctHlfpG7UNZaD6CeCUphM0RiLwBWgpgJLw In order to get access to the CKP sensor, the ESM says to remove the fan shroud and the...

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

I looked up "Honda Accord reading ABS codes without reader" and watched a YouTube video.

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Okay. After some more research I found out that the blinking pattern means something. The only pattern I'm getting is 1-7 (1 long and 7 short blinks).

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

I don't understand. There are no codes on the dash while I perform the reset. Here's a video of it. Still no codes on my reader. Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1crbqDZ4p_DVABAxA6APLm9DQasRQjED3/view?usp=drivesdk

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Okay, since I finally found some free time, I decided to take apart my central console to tension my handbrake and while in there I inspected the handbrake switch. The handbrake light will not go off anymore, so I decided to have a look at it. The switch appears to be operating perfectly, no...

    VSA Modulator Light

Maybe I should make this into a new thread, but oh well. Having read all the pages of this living nightmare, I've had an interesting thought. Given that the diesel variant of the 7th gen accord uses a German made Bosch unit, and the petrol variant uses an unit from Japan, which is more reliable...

    Cruise control clutch switch problem

Hi, just wanted to share this idea and possibly the solution to the cruise control problem I've been having. Basically the Crusoe control never works until normal circumstances, unless I put my foot under the clutch pedal and pull it up, at which point cruise control can be engaged and it will...

P2004 code shows up when brakes are pumped.

So I've found out that if I pump my brakes while standing still for about 20 seconds, the check engine light will always come on. The code is P2004 and is something about an intake manifold runner flap being stuck open. Seems really odd to me. Nothing about the behaviour of the engine changes...

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Where could I find this double number code if my scanner doesn't show faults? There are three lights on the dash board and the check engine light isn't on.

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Bad news. While I believe that I was successful in my resetting procedure of the ABS and VSA system, due to a reassuring click from the ABS modulator unit, the lights stayed off for around 10 seconds, after which they came back on. I'm starting to suspect if this has to do with air in the...

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Alright I did the battery off procedure again, after having topped up the brake and clutch fluid back to the MAX line. Still no change at all. I'm gonna attempt the VSA and ABS reset procedure through the OBD2 port. Will report back.

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Would some WD-40 electrical contact cleaner do the trick? Also, if my reasoning is correct, having an ABS fault should cause VSA to act up too, right? VSA uses the ABS to apply the brakes on chosen wheels and without it, it couldn't do its job.

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

I haven't been able to replicate the handbrake light behavior and this is the first time it's happened. Probably not related to primary problem. The 3 lights are back and haven't gone off. I took off the battery terminals for an hour and gave them a cleaning for good measure, but to no avail. I...

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Things just got interesting. While I was checking for fault codes, I had my handbrake up. As I started to get going, I noticed that the handbrake light stayed on, despite the handbrake being down. Another interesting thing is that, after I started getting up to speed, after ~10 kph all the...

VSA, traction control and ABS light simultaneously came on

Update, lights are back on and this time I managed to use the OBD2 scanner while the lights were on. Unfortunately, no luck.
