Just bought some nice new exhaust tips to go on car, only thing is the standard ones are rusted solid on, well the clamping bolt is anyway, there is no shape left on the head where its rusted, nothing will stay on it. The only thing I haven't tried is mole grips but not sure it would turn...

I have orderd the same 90 pipe as you from your ebay link, haven't made my mind up on filter yet, there are longer ones but bloody expensive, over £60 I think, not sure if its worth getting a bigger one?

I also had concerns about this before I had my CL9 reflashed, but its a no hassle process, UKCL9 is very efficient in sending out the test ECU for you to use then doing the reflash and sending yours back, all done recorded special delivery, best money ive spent on my car so far.

Yes its just bolt ons I plan for mine, but with the K24 it'll make for a very quick car. That combination of yours sounds good, it will be rapid, the ECU on its own has made such a difference to mine, I like the car anyway but now look forward to every drive

I don't think a CAI is anything to worry about, ive had ear problems in the past and the only thing that ever got too much constantly was the nurspec R exhaust I had on the classic WRX, god that was loud! And it did cause a bit of ringing sometimes

A little off topic from the diesels, ive noticed from reading the specs on the 2.4s that the facelift type s have slightly less weight, slightly more torque (164 lb vs 162 lb) yet the 0-62 is a touch more and top speed is a touch less. Thought it be other way round.
