Steering knock at low speeds and when taking the bite

Have you checked engine and gearbox mounts ? Also with the car stationary have you tried rocking the steering wheel left to right - any knocking / noise felt there? I had a knock felt through the wheel (and pedals) like you but it didn't happen when pulling away or going in to second. One new...

    Suspension opinions ?

Just read the excellent guide there but damnit - I don't have a blowtorch/ plumbers torch. Looks like I'll be booking some ramp (and tool) time. This just might push me into getting the suspension quicker now so I can get it all done in a day. I will likely have to book a Friday off so I can get...

    Suspension opinions ?

I think the Vogtlands will be too pricey - 770 euro comes in at 669 gbp before postage. The street basis kit I've found for 444gbp posted and the a spec kit from heel toe comes to 414gbp (minus shipping)

    Suspension opinions ?

Excellent feedback guys - thanks Jon - no the car has been looked over but those ball joints have not been replaced. Is this something that can easily be missed on the accord? I've had a pry around with a bar myself and other than the d bushes on the front roll bar I couldn't see any play...

    Suspension opinions ?

recently took re-ownership of my accord and before emigrating my friend decided to remove and sell the coilovers fitted and replaced with the old oem stuff. I think it's safe to ***ume they are knackered - car likes to wander and the slightest bump in the road is excruciating with the steering...

New Owner With A Few Issue

Had landsail on the rear of mine when originally bought. Noise was sooooo bad, actually got money off the vehicle thinking the bearing was shot. Swapped the bearing and made zero difference - promptly changed all tyres to Michelin pilots and noise gone instantly. Accords seem to hate cheap tyres...

skoda yeti or 9th gen civic?

Two quite different cars on the face of things - the yeti with its (optional) Haldex 4x4 system, cube like shape is pushed as an outdoorsy square golf with added practicality. It looks like it's built in the usual Volks way with plusher materials etc. The civic is, well a civic? And (in my own...

    17" inch wheel question !

You may find a really good machine polish / mop will bring the red back (unless it's already pink) cheaper than a respray.

Excellent guide - you make it sound easy With regards to the swearing it's often jobs like this where new ones are born lol I like to get creative and just let it flow. Had my neighbour pop over laughing one day asking what a f""" biscuit was when changing the radiator in my old scoob
