    rear suspension has slightly dropped

I would imagine there is a an acceptable range of settlement of the springs which will vary depending on use. It would all depend on how much the springs have compressed, I would suggest if your worried mate get it checked out whilst your in warranty.

how long to change fuel filter

If it had no power it was in limp home mode where it would not go over 2k rpm. Did you get the fault code read? was it low fuel pressure?? I would suspect it will be cured by a new genuine filter its a common issue we see on TA. If you have a remap I wouldn't have thought it was that as the...

Throttle Position Sensor replacement icdti '07

Bit of advice if people get the TPS fault code before you go ahead and replace the unit. First remove the cable and give the contacts a good clean and then refit this will often cure the problem.

    Bigger wheels and the VSA

I doubt that would be an issue but 225/45/18 tend to be more expensive and less easy to get hold of than 225/40/18. If you want to keep near the stock rolling radius you want to use 225/40/18. However a few members have used 45 profile and found that with satnav speed check the speed actually...

    Estate shaking

Shaking from the rear?? there isnt much to go wrong with the rear set up. Like Neal says check the balancing and swap wheels over to rule out. Sounds / vibrations are hard to pinpoint so I would also think perhaps its really the front and the inner cv joints.

    Diesel smell in cabin

Great work Neil helping the member out. To OP get this sorted asap as its a major health and safety issue. HUK have toughened up with warranty claims but this one is pretty black and white thankfully.

2 Stroke oil in your ictdi

To be honest from my experience VPD is the only premium diesel worth using as its derived from the use of GLT tech as Trev has pointed out. The other ie BP and Total excellium all seem to be using cetane increasers. I found that I got better performance from using std total plus boran or MDS4...
