    Vibration when clutch is down

My money will be on the DMF sorry to say, either way if your getting the gearbox looked at you may as well change the clutch and DMF due to the ***ociated labour cost.

    Eibach pro-kit and wheel alignment

£95 for a geometry adjustment is more than I paid at WIM it must be inflation  but you get what you pay for and not bothering to have it done would have been a big mistake. Still it looks very nice and the front should drop further over time.

    Yet another with Brake Woes....

I was down at Big Red yesterday good bunch of people and do a good job for a reasonable price. A word of warning with regards the polymer coating the colours are not nice and shinny they are really flat. They look good but dont expect bling as the focus is on protection as its the same coating...

    Yet another with Brake Woes....

Have you had a good look at the slider ie taken the caliper off and carrier to examine properly. IME people inc dealer often use the wrong grease for the sliders and this can cause issues like a sticking caliper. The oem pads for the rear now come with a nice little sachet of grease for the...

    Brown Royal Wheel cleaner

Yes I also noticed that member has been banned so may be not a reliable source of a review  I would be very suprised if any non acid based cleaner worked better than VP billberry. You can even used that 1:1 if you have very bad wheels.

    Hydra blade

Most detailers regard them as WMD as a bare minimum you need to wipe them with each swipe but even then they have been known to cause surface marring. However some people wont notice such marring and therefore probably just thing they are fine. It boils down to how bothered you are about such...

    Gearbox Half shaft play?

IME genuine shafts are the way to go, but you dont need to get the whole shaft as the issue in the inner cv joints. You can just buy the new joints and replaced those instead, if I was to do it all again. I would just by NS inner joint and see if that cures the vibration problems.

So how are my heated seats supposed to work?

High is thermostatically controlled and will switch off, low setting is not and wont turn off. As said use high setting to get up to temp and them switch to low to have a constant warmth. My experience of them is you only really notice them in the real winter months when they are a nice feature.

    My little session today

I pour tyre dressing into a container and use a paint brush to apply to the tyres. You use less dressing and get a better finish in my experience. Dan I would recommend you ditch the chamois for some proper MF drying towels.

    Oil Leak

Degrease engine - remove splash guard an put a big bit of card board under the engine. You will then get a much clear idea of where this leak is originating.

    Oil Leak

Could be a leak from the oil feed banjo to the turbo, if its had work done in the past its an easy part to knock. Or some previous owner perhaps spilt oil when topping up?

    Alternative to clay bar

Depends on what the stuff is, clay will pick up most stuff but it depends on what clay you use. Clays are not all the same and the stuff you find in halfords is very mild and may not pick everything up. If its just a specific panel like Carl says you could clay it, polish it, I often wipe with...

DIY - Brake discs and pads change 03+ (updated)

No tourer pistons will simply push back so g clamp or the like will suffice. Loads of pads available and I used most in my accord ownership. It all depends on what you want from your brakes really.
