There is a boot button on the key, but it only seems to release the boot catch. I don't think my model is supposed to have an auto lifting tailgate, but it seems to be lacking anything to hold the boot up at all when opening it manually. There are no struts or springs on it.

There doesn't seem to be any struts at all to hold the boot up when it's open. Is that normal?

I'm having the same issue. Tried contact cleaner on the board for the switch. Still doesn't work. Any other suggestions? I checked the fuses and they seem fine.

Has anybody identified the most common cause for this problem and a definitive solution? I just bought an 09 EX and I have no power to the passenger side window and mirror. Intermittent locking and boot not working properly.
