Have a look around where they are normally fitted see if you can see the loom. You'd also need a relay.

    Leaky Injector, replacement options?

Thanks waj. Maybe to be on the safe side I'll get my dealer to double check it (have to go in to get my driveshaft sorted anyway). If they are happy enough with it I'll clean it up and be extra careful when toping up and keep an eye on it.

    Leaky Injector, replacement options?

This thread reminded me of my own to an extent. I noticed a few months ago a bit of dirt mostly around the first injector. Still haven't decided if its caused by a diesel leak (from the injector or hp fuel line), or just a bit of oil spill from topping up and getting thrown around the place...

    Rear Camber issue

Hi Mart, That is most likely this camber issue. Get a proper four wheel alignment done (not just the two-wheel "tracking"). After I got mine done the camber was still out a little but the tyres aren't wearing as bad. Might be best to try this before changing the link arms.

    Ultimate drive

I personally would be looking at petrol with your milage. I think its fair to say if you get remapped you should also allow £585 for a clutch. The remap will show up any weaknesses! Don't forget to compare typical servicing/spares, insurance and tax costs. You might find the honda 2.4 might...

    help strange judder feel

Gerry, is the judder when accelerating in 3rd? As Andy said this could be worn driveshafts. I would recommend arranging with Donellys & Taggart in Ballymena and letting their mechanic take it for a quick test drive. He'll quickly know if its driveshafts or DMF. If it is DMF, my neighbour was...

    Issue after topping up oil

It might or might not be related to the low oil. Does it change with change in revs or is it constant? Can you hear it when idling? Any idea where its coming from?

Faulty timing chain - advice needed!

When they checked mine the mechanic just went out and had a listen to it, think he gave it a good rev as well, he was only in the car 2mins at the most. Didn't charge me anything. I would check with the dealer first though.

    accord 2005 faults

As the guys have said, the whinning is prob caused by the alternator. I noticed this as well after I got the timing chain done. I think its because the engine is quieter afterwards that you then notice the alternator. On the motorway its the only thing I hear from the engine bay. But yes it...

    Engine Rattle ?

If you get into any bother with the dealer, head up to donnellys in ballymena. From my experience they are better to deal with and they did my chain a year ago with no problems.

Faulty timing chain - advice needed!

Regardless of whether its 5w-30 or 0w-30, if its semi-synthetic that the dealers have been using then personally I think 12k is far to much on semi. I used to go by the old guidelines - full mineral every 3k, semi every 6k and fully sythnetic 12k. With the discounted oil from exol I'm...

    Servicing in Ireland

I got one service at Belfast, was ok but didn't seem that professional compared to the Ballymena guys. Glad I didn't go to saltmarine in the end! Try http://www.honda.ie/Dealers/index.cfm?fuseaction=honda.dealers to see if there's anyone closer. Most of the guys on here will recommend you...

    Servicing in Ireland

Which donnellys? I've found the guys in ballymena top notch and so far seem to know what they're doing! Am surprised at salt marine they quoted work for me and said 0w-30.

    Where to service my car?

The manual for my accord (pre-facelift) says to check when the engine is cold. The petrol you can check after a few mins; presumably they've changed it for the facelift manuals? I've always checked when cold, if the engine has been run recently there will be oil in the oilways that doesn't...

    Tyre constanly losing air

It could be. They should have changed the valve as well as the tyre. Is it slow? A soapy solution might show if theres any leaks, or take it back and ask them to check for leaks.

    ATF Z1

Agree with Pepster, don't use this oil in your car. I thought it was strange that Honda was selling an auto gearbox oil for outboards (they have a different gearbox design than a car), but this isn't actually for outboard gearboxs. Its for the tilt and trim system, a hydraulic system that...

    Wobble/judder when accelerating

Yes, there is a knocking noise. I've known about it thought originally it was just some play in the driveshaft but had a listen while my wife turned the wheel and does seem to be coming from the steering rack. Would this cause a vibration, its more through the car than just the wheel. Can...
