Anything else above a stage 2 remap?

FMIC is a bit of a pain on these - you either have to hack, a lot, or cope with some fairly tight pipework bends. It can be done, but as has been said, the quality of the IC is key - also make sure it's no too big!

Clutch Suggestions For 2.2 CDTI Stage2

As Fahad has said - the improved Honda clutch will cope (IME) with no issues. Mine has, albeit with mainly motorway driving. Saying that, it's proven able to hold a bit more than S2 in my case, although I wouldn't want to do it for too long! :)

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

True, what I really want to do is speak with whoever the bloke was who had the Civic used for the Stage 3 map shown on Celtic's website! That seemed to be a good output (even allowing for a slightly 'optimistic' Dyno').

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

True - problem is, as ever, finding someone down here who knows what they're doing with aftermarket stuff! Plus when I took the clutch off I didn't feel inclined to investigate it further. It was kind of a 'sod it - had enough' moment! :) (Someone's looking at it now...)

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Absolutely fine! When I had the Twin Plate in and working it was fine, if a bit heavy for others to use, but I quickly got used to it (until it really started making changes difficult). In terms of driving it was great - loads of power, but delivered in quite a linear manner and high enough in...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Thanks Faddy! :) Just realised I forgot to put my last Dyno plot on here - I'll get it put up in a bit, but basically, compared to a normal S1/S2 map there's a bit more lag initially, then it takes off, with much more under the graph in the latter half of the rev range.

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Not sure Trev - just got progressively harder to engage gears - kept on meaning to get back to the Coy, but, with one thing and another, just haven't got 'round to it! Might be a fault with the Clutch, might be the G-Box, might have been incorrect installation, don't know!

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

To be honest, not really. I started having issues with the Twin Plate Clutch just after I last posted - basically it was becoming impossible to change gear, so I re-installed the original 325 Clutch, which kind of stopped any more Stage 3 work, where I was having issues with fuelling, with the...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Hi Sam, thanks for the comments and sorry for the late reply - work been a bit hectic! I got my suspension from Holdcroft Honda, the site's affiliated Dealer - not sure if they can still get them though - they were very pessimistic about mine turning up, but worth a try!

Fire is the answer! CDTI Inlet manifold cleaning.

I just used intake cleaner and oven cleaner when that ran out - foaming action FTW!

It's getting there - it certainly shifts now - although I was seeing up to 28 psi at times today - not that I'm fussed! Once the OPV is in I'll get it to my friendly local Dyno - they're getting used to me there!!

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

I think that's partly my issue too - certainly with the EVRs - MAF and MAP were pretty new, but the prime culprit so far has been the unchanged fuelling map!

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Update: I've had real issues getting HDS to work, so until I get that cracked I had a play with the actuator and a cut down, bent 10mm spanner. Had to use mini mole-grips to turn the actuator's adjusting knob once I'd loosened off the nut, but once I'd worked that out it was quite easy to tweak...

    Nice 2.4 Type S

There's a silver facelift EX on there too at £5,500 with only 47K miles - I think my money'd be on that one. (Not that I'm looking! :D)

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Bu**er that! It's given me enough scars and a bad back just swapping the turbo over on the drive! Next time it's going on a pit! (I will try and get pics, but I suspect the Turbo's location will preclude much of that - we'll see!) I think Trevor can claim to be the first though, from his...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Effing tell me about it Faddy!!! :D I feel that this is it though - the turbo has shown It can consistently hit 22-24 psi, now I've replaced the EVRs (which is probably why my stage 2 power was down a little bit, although I was happy!!). Now that that's been done, everything points at the...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Still issues Trevor, although the replacement of both EVR valves has made a difference, as before I think tired EVRs were throwing additional issues into the mix! A recent dyno put it at 191 bhp, so they have made a difference, although I'd have sworn it felt like a lot more than that!! Long...
