    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Well it appears I spoke too soon... Drove in to work today fine, thinking - feels nice and pokey! :D Booked it in to Alan Jeffreys in Plymouth for a Dyno and waited... I was hoping for at least over 200 hp - I was wrong! It produced a good power and torque curve, so I think the MAF...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Hey, I'm just the Monkey here! :D When I spoke to the bloke on reception first time he mentioned MAF in amongst a few other things it could be and, as said I already had my own suspicions, so didn't really think in that direction. When I spoke to the actual mapper the next day, he was a lot...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Update: Part 1 OK - it's been an interesting few days! the Turbo was due to arrive on Thu, so on Wed I put the Stock Map back on and cleaned, re-oiled and installed a Pipercross filter I'd had sitting around for ages now from the old group-buy (thought I might as well :) ). The Turbo duly...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

Well I spoke too pessimistically. Paul from Turbo Clinic called today (very nice man!) and after admitting that initially he couldn't spot the difference between the two units (which made me feel a bit less daft! :) ) he said that he could just swap the cartridge from the Hybrid to my Accord...

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

:D To be fair mine's had more than its fair share of that until the IMRC issue was sorted, followed by the EGR... Mind you, considering it's on 156K it may well decide that 200 plus hp isn't to its liking, but I seriously doubt it. (if it does pop then i'll just need to get a 2.4 and...

    2.0 exhaust options

TBH I'd look at getting one custom made - that way you can specify exactly what you want - most A-M exhausts tend to sound a bit over the top IMO - hence I've used that route in the past.

Another vote for GY Eagle F1 Asym 2 here - very good tyres. :)

    CTDi Hybrid Turbo Install

I've been running a Stage 2 EGR Off Map, which I've been very happy with, for quite a while now, but have also been tracking what a few people over on Civinfo have been doing in terms of creating a 'Hybrid' CTDi turbo and looking to achieve power well over 200hp. This has really progressed in...

Shadow Chrome refurb, New Clutch and other jobs!

I'll be getting it installed ready for me to get back in Sept, so I'll be able to give some feedback at the end of that month. :)

Shadow Chrome refurb, New Clutch and other jobs!

Thanks! I had to de-rust the ATR ones first, which took an overnight soak, but as they were already powder-coated once that was done the re-***embly took no time (about 30 minutes). An extra pair of hands was useful though.

Shadow Chrome refurb, New Clutch and other jobs!

I've taken time this summer to sort out a lot of to-do jobs for the Accord - New front and rear Ferodo Discs/Pads, Full Service with Millers Nano Oil and full refurb of my spare ATR Calipers. I also sent off my standard 17" EX Alloys for a refurb, but didn't want to get them diamond cut again...

Re-Building Front Brake Calipers - Question!

Glue might be the answer - if the boot was able to be fitted over the lip in the first place. there's also no other lips inside the bore of any sort. The Type R Calipers I did at the same time were fine - I just think these are a really crappy design TBH - never had an issue like this, and...

Re-Building Front Brake Calipers - Question!

Cheers Matt, but that's not the issue (although my solution to the problem you had is for me to stretch out the boot, while my wife inserts the piston into the bore - works a treat! Boots that use cir-clips are much easier though.) The problem I'm having is that, as you can see from the picture...

Re-Building Front Brake Calipers - Question!

Recently I decided to refurb my spare standard front brake calipers, just to have them ready in case I ever needed them. I've refurbed quite a few sets of brakes before, so wasn't concerned. I also got OEM Honda refurb kits as I don't like the quality of aftermarket ones. All was fine until I...

    Replacement Wiring Loom Multiplugs

I've managed to improvise a plug already by taking the unit in and comparing it with the stuff on offer, but the Molex plug listed in the DIY guide was way too big - I must have got the wrong one, or something, but was sure I had it right.

    Replacement Wiring Loom Multiplugs

Pity - most breakers want to sell a complete loom, not just one m/p - oh well!

    Replacement Wiring Loom Multiplugs

Can you get replacement wiring loom multiplugs and terminals from Honda? I'm in the middle of installing a reverse camera and the terminal housing I've bought doesn't fit the socket on the back of the Navi DVD. However - I've noticed that the socket on the Navi DVD is exactly the same as...

PAS Rack - Common across all Mk7s?

Thanks for that - looks like they're different - part numbers certainly are anyway, so it's not worth the risk! Just need to check with the sellers what year car it came off!
