    clutch ?

Clutch... My uncle's Accord bite point was to the floor, the clutch pedal was super heavy, a new clutch done at TGM in Fleet sorted it out. My own Accord has that tapping sound as well and goes away when the pedal is pushed down but the clutch is fine, TGM said its up to me... No harm in...

Anybody moved to Volvo, Merc or BMW from 7 Gen Accord?

Mercedes - Comfortable, nice interior, auto gearbox is awesome, gadgets. Bad points - parts are more expensive, sometimes electrical problems. Honda - Cheaper parts, simple... turn the key and go. Bad points - ride quality is not as good, rust is too common lol, not as much gadgets.

Anybody moved to Volvo, Merc or BMW from 7 Gen Accord?

The thing is... Both cars are very different lol The Mercedes is a E55 AMG... You probably get why I wanted an estate :D BWMs are more of a driver's car, whereas, the Mercedes is better for comfort and daily driving. Always go auto and never manual, I find the suspension stiffer in BMWs.

Which Merc are you looking at? I got both a Merc and Accord, I actually bought the Accord as a 2nd car... As I find sometimes I randomly need to move things around.

    Water Ingress

This was a common fault with the 96-00 Honda Civic's. The foam gasket behind the tail lights would dry up and let water in, once replaced with new foam gaskets... no more leaks. Throwing another idea in the bucket.

Oh yours is 8th gen... Don't know if the below will apply. Tailgate wise... Possible broken wires at the hinge of the tailgate. Can you open the tailgate manually from inside the tailgate? You will need to crawl inside, pop the interior cover off and pull the latch to open the tailgate...

    DIY tailgate clutch REPAIR!

Didn't have small enough circlip pliers so I ended up cleaning the plates with brake cleaner and blue roll in between the plates. Tailgate opens now, currently no failed attempts to open, although, sometimes I still hear the noise where the plates used to slip but I can live with it.

    DIY tailgate clutch REPAIR!

If you remove, what looks like the the firing unit for the side curtain air bags you can access the plugs without have to remove the ECU. 3x 10mm bolts, drop the airbag unit and you will have room to get your fingers in, this also gave me room to remove that final plastic cable tie on the wiring...

Rear ARB Bushes and Drop Links

Done my drop links the other day. I had to break off the drop link to see the ball part, then mole grip the ball part and impact gun the nut off. Where I couldn't get the tool in, I busted out the angle grinder :D

    Paintwork

If it's very light scratches I would do the following: 1) Remove any products you have on the paint work now 2) Go over the paint work with a liquid rubbing compound, by hand or machine, this should take out those light scratches 3) Polish out with Autoglym Super Resin Polish, this should fill...

2 Day Battery Drain on Honda Accord 2007 mk7 2.2CDTI

Don't know if you have fixed the problem yet but I would keep the multimeter at fuse 7, then disconnect each unit until you see a drop.

REVIEW and DIY - Silky Smooth transmission oil change

When I bought some transmission oil from Honda recently, the guy said I only needed 1.9 litres, so I ended up buy 2x 1 litre bottles. When filled up I could only get in 1.8-1.9 litres in, there must have been some oil still in the housing.

    Pesky Tourer Tailgate

I just bought a Tourer and had an issue with closing as well. I noted the exterior handle was sticking in the open position so I cleaned that up and now it's working as it should do. So yeah... Check the exterior handle first :D
