removing the amp won't interrupt other controls but removing the dvd rom on nav will I'm sure. The nav screen will not turn on as it's a looped harness.
you could probably leave the stock amp as if memory serves me it' low down below ashtray and just wire the front speakers to the rear channels disconnecting all the others then wire in your new hu. I'm fairly confident it won't mess your ac up. But removing the dvd rom will mess up the splash...
most likely run would be under the trim into in the cabin from under rear seats and tuck it under the kick plate trims right up to under the dash then up behind into the sat nav.
Yes you can fit below in the non nav version. It's probably a better solution. You can fit a double din that is capable of dvd,nav etc
You could probably bypass the stock hu altogether but will loose steering controls.
Accord diesel comes in sport ,exec and difference between them is listed...
To be honest i would just work with the standard sat nav hu and replace your speakers and amp them. The standard unit will power your amp and speakers, allow you to keep voice guidance and you can hook up your reverse camera and xcarlink for mp3. only thing missing would be dvd.
it's a lot of...
not sure but it's worth getting it diagnosed properly as if it's the chain then you looking at a repair bill of 3k from Honda. That would be just cause to request a refund Imo.
as said easy to remove but bolts will snap, so soak for few days before. No need to remove chrome, just sand key, plastic /etch primer and away you go. Looks great
fairly generic with most cars through the firewall where the loom goes through. Then under trim, kick plates, under rear seats. It's good practice to run power and speaker cables opposite sides to avoid introducing noise.
I got mine from Acura dealer in America, I got both for way less than one at uk price.
