    "My '87 Accord GSi"

Just a small update, as I've been washing cars today :) I'll be getting a rotary polisher soon, after some practices on the Scirocco I may build up enough courage to have a go at my Accord

    Help pleas ........................ Accord v6... 2006...MT 6Speed

    Accord cambelt cost

The H series has been known to suffer from auto tensioner failures, not so sure about the F series. They have similarities though so it might be worth replacing the tensioner! If you're doing it yourself then there's a special tool needed to hold the crank pulley in place whilst you unbolt it...

6th Gen air con regass capacity?

The type of gas required should be indicated by a sticker on the slam panel. Not so sure about the weight of all the gas in the system though if I read that right?!

    S/S Manifold & Downpipe

As far as I'm aware these manifolds aren't really good for any extra horse power, they just look nicer in the bay with the heat shield removed. I've got a similar one myself for my H swap, bought out of necessity more than anything! One thing to bear in mind also, some of the chaps on the...

    Suspension Fitment?

The service manual makes no mention of the mounting/fitment being any different, so they should be fine :)

    supermarket fuel paranoia

My Mk2 Golf ran like a bag of spanners when I filled it with petrol at Texaco once  to be fair the ignition timing was set on a tank of V-Power though. I use Sainsbury's super unleaded too, unfortunately I don't have any cars that are meant to run on under 97 octane petrol  I did use...

    supermarket fuel paranoia

Sounds like that quoted source is American?? There's a list of refineries in the UK on Wikipedia, along with the companies that operate them. I understand supermarkets source fuel from the cheapest supplier available, at a guess I'd say Shell/BP are going to be getting fuel from whatever...

    Modifying

Does this mean I'm going to have to get back to work on my Accord?

    Modifying

Nope, nobody ;) for example, I do not have a 6th gen Accord in pieces for an engine swap :P I think it's just less people own 6th gens tbh. I don't even get an individual section for my third gen

    "My '87 Accord GSi"

Well, finally got the keys to my new house yesterday. Here's the Accord just after I arrived :) The garage is lined with gypsum board currently, so soon I will be stripping the end with the door, and making myself a workshop :D dropped the Scirocco over earlier, still got the Golf, the...

2.2 4WS for sale on Autotrader

I believe it was on eBay a while back, being sold by someone who obviously loved it a lot going by the original ad. I spotted this in my daily search today, but as Steve says shame it's an auto. If it was manual I might've gone and bought it, looks lovely

    Vax wet vac session today!

They spray hot water and cleaning solution onto a fabric, and then they basically just suck it back up again :) it helps lift out dirt better and they're epic at removing stains.

    Vax wet vac session today!

Wet vacs are amazing! I have a Bissel one that's really meant for house carpets, but it made the carpets on my 22 year old VW Golf come out like new!! Did wonders on the Xsara seats last time I was sick in it too  when you chuck in the fact that it lifts out stains from the dog, food, and...

    Colour Coded Handles

Mine are colour coded :) So you could look for ones off of an SE Executive, or the pre-facelift equivalent!

Headlamp swap from Xenon to Halogen

I don't know if you need manual headlight adjustment on a car with halogen bulbs, but I'm inclined to say no provided they weren't factory fitted. My Golf, Scirocco, 3rd Gen Accord and 4th Gen Prelude all are without in cabin adjustment. Might be worth phoning the dealership to ask one of their...

    no vtec crossover

The guys over on the Prelude forum have always been adamant that a properly tuned H Series motor should make the transition into VTEC smoothly. iirc one of the things advised to help smooth out the crossover is correcting your valve clearances, so this may well be why you noticed a difference :)

    Engine swap from f20b

The original OBDI H22A from JDM 4th gen Preludes won't fit directly, due to the passenger side engine mount being different. I suspect this is the same for the UKDM H22A2 that was built at the same time. Off the top of my head other incompatibilities from the earlier engines in 4th gen Preludes...
