I think 'X Car Link' (sp) is designed to do this on Accords, it functions through the aux input of the head unit. I think a few people on here run them so they may be able to advise?

As above, check your oil. The engine will engage limp mode if the oil pressure isn't sufficient, I've had this happen to my 6th gen and it would be my first port of call.

Is it a remanufactured part perhaps? I only suggest that as it looks like there's some kind of wear pattern on the fingers of the release plate - the last clutch kit I bought didn't look like that (albeit for a different honda and a different brand of kit).

Failing that, if you can't find OEM ones could you not fab up a simple bracket that spans from bumper to inner arch using a thin strip of metal, similar to how people support universal induction pipes?

I have used 10w40 semi synth in both my Accords and both Preludes (MY 2001, 1987, 1992 and 1986) as that's what the service manuals dictate for the temperature range in the UK, like Andy said.

As exec said, the 6th gen is one of the most solid cars out there tbh. Sounds like this one might have been subject to a hard life under a previous owner - can't say I've heard of many (if at all any) gearbox failures on a 6g on this forum? At any rate I wish you better luck with your next car...
