    Creaking steering left

Was pretty annoyed that they didn't get it right first time but actually happy with them now that they took it back and made sure it was put right. The car is now going on 11 yrs old and was fully expecting them to just say that with the cars age its going to make noises and its nothing to worry...

    Rear Caliper L/R

Yep if it's the type with the discs for normal braking and the drum in disc with shoes for handbrake the shoes might need backed off a bit if they are binding

    Rear Caliper L/R

Could be the brake lines, the rubber ones in the wheel well that connect to the calipers maybe they are past it and they are swelling so not releasing their pressure

    Creaking steering left

Yep would be good to own one of those electronic mechanics ear machines as it pointed them to the correct area from the start. Track rod ends(which i replaced), inner tie rods and steering rack looked like the most likely culprits which would of been alot of expense and problem would of still...

    Creaking steering left

Update Dropped it off Monday night and was ready by end of Tuesday but only got round to picking up today. Noise gone, they lowered subframe again and rubbed down any corrosion and lubricated where the rubber mounts mate against the chassis and the noise remained. So they removed anti roll...

    i-DTEC Clutch Slip

Could be the self adjusting mechanism is ready to click to the next part of its range and will then sort itself. 1100 for both clutch and flywheel from dealer is a good price as the flywheel is almost 1500 on its own. The type s clutch is stronger and is a straight swap the flywheel for the...

    Creaking steering left

I thought that myself. The service manager drive the car himself with me in the car before they worked on it and confirmed he could hear it. As far as i know because the wheel caster changes when steering even when stationary the lower control arm would have some up and down movement which the...

    Creaking steering left

The clicking is definitely in the steering movement. It does it when wheels aren't moving

    Creaking steering left

I initially called them to price getting the ball joints replaced and the service manager said he doubted that was where the noise was coming from. He stated to me in his experience its aftermarket ones that are failing. If the boots on them look fine and there is no play then they should be...

Knocking when starting and stopping engine

Open airbox and remove filter then fasten airbox up. See if the knocks are still present when starting and shutting off. If gone - problem solved get a new filter. If knocking still present - put filter back in and get mounts checked by mechanic before replacement as they ain't the cheapest of...

Knocking when starting and stopping engine

Just noticed you mentioned oil needing changed next month but i would do air filter as well. Engine might not be getting enough air if slightly clogged. Ecu might be compensating during normal running but causing not a 100% optimal start up and shut down

Knocking when starting and stopping engine

When was it last serviced? If it's been a while then a new air filter fuel filter and oil and filter changed is worth doing might save you spending unnecessary on new mounts if it sorts it
